We are renting our 1800's two-storey (with loft), modernized stone house, The Bergerie, in the south of France, in the beautiful area of the Cevenne, which has long been known as a 'paradise for hikers'.
The house sits in the middle of nature, just above the periphery of the charming village of Genolhac, a short 10minute walk from the front door, through the wood to the village square below, where you will find cafes, restaurants, some shopping, tennis, and the train station.
The house is comfortably furnished to sleep five persons, although seven persons can also be accomodated. The house is open and airy, with a large roof-covered terrace off the kitchen area, prepared for any meals you would choose to eat 'outdoors'...and opposite the terrace there is a bedroom with two single beds...there's also a couch here that can be used as a double bed, if need be. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a dishwashing machine, but, sorry, there is no clotheswashing machine.
The second level is the comfortable, well-furnished livingroom, a large open, airy space with a sleeping loft with a double bed...here also is a single bed and another couch that opens to a double bed. As you will see in the photos, here also is a beautiful fireplace, and plenty of seating to sit back and relax...note that there is no tv, and if you need internet you will find it easily in the village...and please, no smoking in the house.
There is convenient parking next to the house. Notice that in total there are three houses on our property, each a comfortable distance away from the others, assuring privacy. On the property discreetly, lives our manager in case you may need some assistance, and who will greet you upon your arrival.
Adgang for gæster
You'll have access to all the house.
Kontakt med gæster
Our neighbours will welcome you and be in charge to help you in case you need to.
We will give you their contact before you arrive at the house.
