We stayed in Nakano on our previous visit to Tokyo 3months ago and loved the area. There is a great little bar called Gorilla Bar down the road, lovely owners, staff, great food and lovely atmosphere.
As for the apartment we were disappointed. The place was not clean, there was black mould in the fridge, the freezer had brown liquid frozen inside and the kitchen utensils and crockery had to be washed before use. There was a terrible smell from the kitchen sink and the you couldn't see in the bathroom mirror.
Unfortunately this meant that we had to check out after 2 days (instead of 5), it would have been only 1 day if we had our other accommodation confirmed in time. Aoi the host, responded to communication quickly and insisted that the place had been cleaned before we arrived.
There is a lot of clutter in the apartment which you don't see in the pictures, which makes the place feel smaller and more cramped than it actually is or could be.
The checking process was smooth. It is actually closer to Shin Nakano Station. If the cleanliness and clutter and clutter and drainage problems were sorted, it would be a great little place to stay and we wish Aoi all. The best with it.
We are a family of 3, the size of the place we could just about have got by with, but we were expecting 2 bedrooms rather than 2 rooms, which includes the living area. The WiFi is a mobile device which works well.
We moved to a beautiful apartment with 2 bedrooms a lovely living area and separate kitchen, immaculate and so well equipped we want for nothing, for an extra £20 per night, well worth every penny.
