Lady Marmalade is a super cosy, luxury retreat with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & views across to the Daylesford Convent & Wombat Hill. Main street's restaurants, cafes, bars & shops are a 5 minute walk away while Lake Daylesford is just 10 minutes.
She has a brand new luxury en-suite with stand-alone spa & Aurora Day Spa products. A log fire, A/C, ducted heating, well equipped country kitchen, free WiFi, Bluetooth sound system, Netflix, large screen TV, record player, vinyls & board games to play.
Set amongst a large peaceful garden the cascading block has many parts to enjoy. The garden evolves through the seasons and the balcony faces North and East with views across to Wombat Hill. Perfect for watching the birdlife fly over and the incredible stars at night. The side covered decking is protected from the elements and is home to the gassed up BBQ.
Lady Marmalade is comfortable all year round. Daylesford can experience the extreme weather and so Lady Marmalade is equipped with double glazed windows and doors, ducted heating throughout and a log fire for the cooler months. There are A/C's in each bedroom and the main living area for the warmer months.
Each bedroom can be configured to 1 King Bed or 2 Singles. This gives our home flexibility to accommodate four single people or 2 couples or a combination. Please let us know when you book so we can prepare the rooms to your needs. The first bedroom has a brand new en-suite (which was recently built from the third bedroom, so it is huge). It has a 12 jet stand alone spa, double vanity, drenching & powerful rain shower and toilet. The second bathroom has been built in the last 5 years and has a large powerful shower and vanity. We use Aurora Day Spa products in both bathrooms.
All linens and towels are provided for your comfort.
Our kitchen is fully stocked with all the implements, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils needed (even a cocktail shaker and martini glasses). Our favourite recipe books and good knives (with sharpener) for the more serious cooks out there. We have a small pantry with essentials like S & P, coffee and teas, some herbs, spreads, oil and some sauces as well as a welcome surprise or two. A range of loose leaf organic teas and coffee is also supplied. Of course we have a dishwasher - who wants to do dishes when they are away?
The round dining table has seating for four which looks out to Wombat Hill. The living area was built to be cosy. Whether it be playing board games at the coffee table while sitting on cushions on the floor or watching the 50 inch TV which swivels to suit the room. The TV is hooked into the internet and Lady Marmalade has her own Netflix account (how modern). We have Chromecast for those wanting to stream their own programs from their device. The Yamaha sound bar is wifi and Bluetooth enabled so you can stream all your own music and it makes any movie sound incredible. Or you can go "old-school" and relax to our eclectic vinyl collection of oldies. Free NBN Wifi is available for guests. The log fire is easy to start and maintain and is perfect for the colder months.
We are dog lovers. Our own dogs, Cooper and Chops love Lady Marmalade and so we have created our home to welcome well behaved dogs and owners. The home is not suited to large boisterous dogs (sorry). The back yard is dog proof with secure gates. We ask you to follow our house rules concerning your fur babies.
The garden is our pride and joy. Guests are welcome to pick and use our edible garden treats while they are with us. Our fire pit is also a perfect place to sit around during the not so cold months.
Smoking is permitted outside only.

Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
To get the most out of your stay we encourage our guests to research the area in advance as there is so much choice. We would be happy to email our tips guide ahead of time once you have confirmed your booking. This has our recommendations of places to eat, drink, spa and relax. Many places need to be booked in advance especially some restaurants and spa treatment retreats, so it is worthwhile to get a head of the game and plan your getaway to avoid being dissapointed.
Lady Marmalade is best suited for couples, girls groups or adult retreat. The house can only accommodate a maximum of four people. We ask that the house is left neat and tidy after each stay. Dishes should be washed and everything put back the way the home was found. Rubbish is to be emptied in outside bins. All we ask from our guests is common sense and care. We love our home and we want to share with others who respect it as much as we do. We have a comprehensive House Manual. It will explain how to work Lady Marmalade. It has a Checklist that we ask guests to follow before they leave.
Dogs are permitted on application, so please let us know what you have as our little home can only handle small to medium well behaved fur babies.
We ask owners to be responsible for their pet's behaviour and clean up after them. No dogs on furniture please. On leaving the property please pick up poo and dispose in main bins outside. We want you to have a wonderful time with your dogs, but any damage caused will be charged.
If you use the outside fire pit please observe common sense rules by not building it up too large and don't leave the fire unattended.
Smoking permitted outside only.
A long time weekender renter and now an owner of our own little bit of paradise in Daylesford. All our years of experience renting holiday homes has gone into creating Lady Marmalade. We love Daylesford and this area of the country. It is close to all our favourite things... great food, a beautiful lake, unique shops and wonderful views across the hills. Our weekender has been formed to make our guests feel relaxed and comfortable. It's everything we look for in places we like to stay.
