Flint Cottage is a lovingly renovated Grade II listed cottage in the centre of the thatched village of Wherwell in Hampshire - 50m to our village pub (The White Lion) and walking distance to two other pubs - one is on the River Test (The Mayfly) and the other is in the next village of Chilbolton (The Abbots Mitre). All three serve food. Wherwell has a beautiful common with the River Test running through it which is ideal for walking, especially with children and dogs.
The cottage is self contained, centrally heated and comprehensively equipped, e.g. TV, wifi, wood burner, DVD, radio, hairdryer, iron, gas BBQ, etc and a fully kitted kitchen with oven, microwave, fridge and dishwasher, and access to washing machine and dryer. The secluded garden has many plants, and we have a hot tub (closed 1st January - 31st March) and 2 bikes that our guests can enjoy by arrangement.
We are near to Stockbridge (4 miles), and the historic cities of Winchester (10 miles) and Salisbury (20 miles). There is a village shop in Chilbolton (the next village), a Co-op in Stockbridge and a selection of large supermarkets in Andover (5 miles). The cottage is ideally placed for walking, cycling (2 bikes available on request), fishing, horse riding and golf. There is a wealth of information in the cottage about local attractions, restaurants and places to visit.
Our welcome pack includes coffee, tea, sugar and milk, plus one continental breakfast (croissants, butter, jam and orange juice). We can supply more provisions on request at cost.
We look forward to welcoming guests to our cottage.
Due to the nature of our cottage, it is not suitable for people with mobility restrictions. We would prefer for dogs not to go upstairs due to the new carpets. Thank you.
