Located in the heart of Vermont, our place boasts a pure and natural environment. The room is in pristine condition and filled with natural light. We are near mountains, rivers and streams where you can find cascading waterfalls, swimming holes and lakes. You can see the stars from the deck and catch the soft breezes blowing through the tall pines on our property. Many nights you will hear owls and howling coyotes. Our home is hypoallergenic, as is our miniature poodle, who is overly friendly.
The room is located on the second floor of our house to the right. The room is medium sized and is our daughter's room when she is not at University in Paris. The bed is queen sized and has a 3" thick new tempurapedic memory foam mattress pad, hypoallergenic sherpa style comforter, down comforter if needed and all new bedding. The room is very light during the day and affords a large window and a skylight. You will have an oversized white fleece blanket for extra coverage and a smaller down throw for more even more warmth. The room has it's own thermostat. There is a desk and desk chair and oversized armchair by the window. The room has a large window that faces West. Your bathroom is just outside of your room and is a shared bathroom.
Coffee and tea are important to us and our "tea drawer" is full of exotic teas- surely the best in Vermont. We really love to meet and host people from around the world, but our priority is to respect non intrusiveness, your privacy and autonomy.
We can give you plenty of information about the surrounding regions of Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Montreal and some of our favorite local places to eat, hike, swim, canoe and shop.
Our place is great location for proximity to Middlebury College in the town of Middlebury (15 minutes) Castleton University (38 minutes) Green Mountain National Forest hiking trails (11 minutes) Killington Ski resort (40 minutes) and much more. We are located 1 hour from Burlington, 2 hours from Montreal and 3.5 hours from Boston.

We are a family, so are typically busy and noisy between the hours of 7AM-about 10PM. Please expect plenty of family hubbub type noise on the weekends and weeknights. We live in the heart of rural Vermont, so occasionally we have bugs that get into the house even though we have screens on the windows and spray organically on a seasonal basis for pests-it still can happen and since we are not a hotel, you can expect more of a rustic/rural environment that comes with country living. We have spotted moose, bear and deer and the occasional snake on our property of 10.1 acres. The house is quiet during weekdays and between 10PM-7AM. We have a fluffy hypoallergenic miniature poodle who is overly friendly-her name is Jenni.
Please remove shoes in the mudroom
Guest parking is at top of the driveway
Quiet hours are between 10:00PM and 7AM; no kitchen use past 10:00PM
