I will be there to greet you of course, will happily meet you at your arrival point if in the city centre, and it would be my absolute pleasure to give you some ideas on things to do in the city. I know Manchester, and the NQ like the back of my hand, love living here and would be happy to share.
If you'd rather I didn't, then I will leave you be to work, relax, explore, party as you see fit.
I am out a lot, and often gone overnight and at weekends too, so you may not see an awful lot of me and will largely have the place to yourself. I will always be available for any questions or queries throughout your stay though.
Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
The bedroom looks out onto the street outside, but well above 'head height' so you are not overlooked. However, there is sometimes noise outside; whether the refuse collection in the middle of the night on Tuesday, people singing their way home, or staff from the (very lovely) restaurant next door taking a quick break.
This is the city centre though so silence can't be what you are looking for. If you are a light sleeper, or if you are staying on one of the nights it randomly gets a bit noisy, I suggest (and will provide) ear plugs.
I've never had a problem sleeping here and my window is on the same side, but you should be aware that it can be busy outside.
Please also note that there is no parking at the apartment. There is street parking right outside that is free between 8pm and 8am, and there are two NCP Car Parks just a couple of minutes away.
You can smoke, within reason, out of the living room window. These are sash Windows that slide right up. Smoking, and leaning out of windows in general is at your own risk.
Breakfast is served to you on Saturday and Sunday and on weekdays everything will be available to make your own. Breakfast will be simple. Either I will serve it to you before 8am if I am here, or will leave you everything for when you want it. There will be toast, cereal, muesli, fruit, pastries, yogurts, fresh coffee, selection of regular and fruit or green teas, milk, juice, milk, mineral water. There are many many delicious and diverse breakfast places just outside that I will happily show you
Cook whenever and whatever you like, but please make some attempt to clear up. Just putting your pots in the dishwasher is a big help.
This is not for having parties. However if you want friends round for an hour or so before you go out for the evening that's fine. No extra guests to sleep over.
You may bring one pet if you like, but there is no private outside space. The pet must be reasonably quiet while indoors and you must clean up after it.
This is my home. I live here and sometimes work here too. Please make yourselves at home. Respect for guests and host is two-way, and makes everyone that bit more comfortable. Thank you.
Sleep well. Ask questions. Enjoy yourself :)
Hi I'm Jen. I'm a Manchester native, and love this city with my whole soul. I have also travelled extensively across the globe and I can't wait to meet you and share stories, either at my place or yours. I can speak conversational French, but don't rely on it!
I love live music, cheese, books, maps, history, mountains, card games and many other things. Thanks for stopping by :-)
