Angelique was very sweet and responsive to any requests I made. The house was clean except for the unwashed kitchen ware and unflushed toilets. The biggest problem was that I believe people were entering my room when I wasn't home which really ticked me off because I am a very pr…

Well I am very sorry Marina felt that way about her stay. I asked her a couple of times if there was anything she needed or even if there were any problems or concerns. I was told no. I try to do everything to accommodate. Had she mentioned any of these issues I would have taken care of them as well. I believe her first statement was "sweet and responsive to any request I made". So I'm a little surprised by this review because she did not mention anything to me when I asked. Also we did have a hurricane. Harvey hit houston hard. We spent the weekend of Harvey rescuing people in our boat out of attics and roofs. So the kitchen sink did fill up. I find this trivial due to what our neighbors were going through. With a disaster like this life tends to get put on hold. And although we had no water in my house the backyard and pool was a mess to clean along with being gone to help my parents with their flooded vehicles and my grandmas flooded house. And if that wasn't enough my job flooded so many hours were put in there too. But there was always clean dishes. And dishes in dishwasher clean as well. I am also sorry she felt people were entering her room. The night she arrived I told her my 11 yr old would be starting school soon but that I believed I had gotten everything out of that room. My exact words were "I shouldn't need anything out of here. I cleared out all his clothes from the drawers. The only thing would be if we forgot something for school he needed." Her response was, "oh, that's not a problem." His belt was the one thing we forgot. That was the only time we needed anything out of her room. Other than that "people" were not going in her room. I would have never gone in with out permission. I even told her if she ever needed extra towels they were in my room in the cabinet and she was welcome to go in any time for more. And she did go in my room for towels when I wasn't home. This is what we talked about the night she arrived. I said it was no problem. As well as so did she if I forgot any of his school things. Maybe that was a misunderstanding and I should maybe have a lock for the room so that this won't come up in the future. As far as toilets not being flushed, I can't say that never happened because it was not brought to my attention. I do have an 11 yr old. Did he forget to flush. Maybe. But he generally is pretty good about flushing. And I went in the bathroom regularly to clean the tub. This was the only thing she didn't clean after herself. I would have to rinse the hair out of the tub and drain. I didn't have a problem with this. It's a little thing. But if I cleaned after her I most definitely cleaned after my own kids. So this I find inaccurate considering I went in there frequently to vacuum mop and clean around the sink and toilet. Bleached everything many times! The cappuccino machine was discussed as well. I picked some up for the machine. I told her they had so many different flavors that she should go check it out! Pumpkin spice chocolate teas you name it. She said she would go look. But I did go ahead and pick up a pack of coffee. They come 10-16 in a pack. I didn't realize she had gone through all of them or I would have picked up more. I noticed the day before she was leaving. She did not tell me. And I did have specialty teas and expressos as well. I was trying to be thoughtful and purchased the expresso in case there was a morning she felt she needed an extra shot. And there are the kids. Kids were out of school for two weeks cause of the hurricane. And for the first week of rain and flooding they had to find entertainment indoors. Everyone was a little stir crazy from being cooped up. But as she said I made sure they were quiet when I was home. I tried to check on them when I wasn't home to make sure they were keeping it down. I guess that didn't go perfectly. But once I knew she was going to bed I made sure they kept it at a whisper. What I find a little jaw dropping is a personal comment that stated that I put we had wifi and that we didnt Uh we do have wifi. And was used the whole visit..... minus the outage. Yes Comcast had an outage. For about 15 hours. Can't do anything about that yet got reviewed on that. I can't imagine anyone staying with someone with three dogs and two kids in the house and expect it to be completely quiet. I guess these are areas that I will try to be more aware of. Just wish she would have come to me. We could have made the changes necessary to make her stay more pleasant.
