It's an authentic East Village 1930's tenement building, no frills 2 bedroom apt in NYC. Free wi-fi, near great restaurants, 4 flight walk up (NO ELEVATOR), lots of light and windows - great place if you're visiting the city and on the go. 1-9 day stays only. You have the entire apartment to yourself and do not share it with anyone, this includes not sharing the bathroom. We also provide towels and sheets. *Please know that this is an old building on the corner of the block and that there is an inevitable amount of NYC dust that accumulates. The apartment is cleaned by a professional service after each guest.
The apt. has three rooms, a small kitchen, a refrigerator (THERE IS NO WORKING STOVE OR OVEN, YOU CAN NOT COOK IN THE STUDIO), table with four chairs, full bathroom with tub, one queen sized futon, one twin futon, one twin inflatable mattress, pillows, sheets and linens provided. Small closet space and sits in a small safe building on the corner of Avenue C and 12th Street. You will have a set of keys that gives you 24 hour access. Also late and early check ins are not a problem.
It is unfurnished other than what is described above making it the kind of place to stay if you are running around the city and desire a safe place to come back to for a good night's sleep, great neighborhood food, and are not concerned with staying somewhere that hasn't the furnishings of the Ritz Carlton. (The studio can also be made available for working artists who need a place to work, depending on availability.)
The restaurants in the neighborhood are exceptional and are all within walking distance (one to ten blocks) ranging from Brazilian, to Cuban, to Japanese, to scores of coffee houses and cafes.
Tompkins Square Park is only 4 blocks walking and the L train is also 4 blocks walking. The always running M14D cross town bus stops right on the corner of 11th Street and Avenue C as well. You are 4 blocks from the L train. Parking is pretty decent as we are more of a residential city neighborhood. Parking garages are also available nearby.
We've had satisfied guests stay who were visiting from Germany, Ottawa, France, Italy, South Africa, Australia, Washington DC, UK, and Los Angeles.
Robert is extremely accommodating and his place was perfect for us. Warm (in the midst of winter), lots of light, space, good water pressure and a great neighborhood. We'd stay there again for sure!
Very friendly owner and very well situated apartment in the Alphabet City. Everything was great and easy. Thank you Robert!
Roberts apartment is really great located in east village/alphabet city NY. Lots of coffee shops, great restaurants are nearby and the supermarket just opposite of the street.
The apartment is nice! Really big for NY and the beds are comfortable. He does not have a kitchen/oven, but he has a small fridge and thats totally enough to get milk and have breakfast in the morning. Honestly nobody comes to NY to stay in an apartment!
All together cool and easy apartment (great view by the way from the bar-table!!!) and perfectly located in NY´s east.
Great stay in NYC.Quickly saw Robert who was very nice and helpful.
Flat is exactly as (website hidden) more, no less, which was perdect for us-clean and warm!
Definitely good and would recommend
Flat is nice and in a very nice district. Everything was perfectly arranged. Bed was OK it is a well roomed place for 2 to 3 people.
The only detriment was no light at the bathroom.
Robert was very kind and helpful with everything! Although we couldn't meet up, he left very simple instructions as to how to get into the apartment! Thank you for everything Robert! It was a blast!
We arrived very early in the morning on a red eye out of SF. Robert was extremely accommodating to our schedule, gave us a great coffee recommendation and generally made our stay hassle free. The space can sleep 3 easily. Average height in our party was 6'2", if that helps. If you need a great jumping off point I highly recommend.
Apartment is nice and cozy, host is very friendly. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Rob was a terrific host. Extremely helpful with knowledge of the area and gave us some great tips!!
The apartment was exactly what we needed and the rooftop was great to have a few drinks on at night.
Little studio in Manhattan in East Village. Roobert have been very supportive and helpful with our staying. Good if you are looking for a place in Manhattan to restore after a full day going around in NY without spending too much
