Dear Fernanda and family
Thank you for your review, and for having chosen my place. I am sorry to see there were a few things that displeased you, and since airnb gives me the opportunity, I would like to make some comments.
Yes, there are many books and plants and ornaments in my apartment. And that is precisely what my guests appreciate, as you can see in their reviews, because that is what gives it warmth and character and a "homy" feeling, as opposed to a half empty flat with a few IKEA furniture.
As far as the beds are concerned, I would like to point out that the ones in the children's room are there on purpose, so that the little ones won't fall off and hurt themselves if they move about in their sleep. I would also like to say that the apartment is thoroughly cleaned, so I doubt there was a lot of dust.
If you read the description, nowhere do I say that my flat is close to the Acropolis. But on the other hand it is only 4 stops away by metro, so one does not need to walk in 38 degrees, which I am afraid is a temperature that may occur in Athens in the middle of the summer, but it is something that I cannot do anything about.
Yes, there is a staircase. It is strange that you didn't see it in my description because I do mention it, and I specifically note that one should take it into consideration if one has small children.
There is a watering system for all the big plants on my veranda, so one does not need to do anything with them. The ones in the living room need watering about once a week, and I water them thoroughly before I leave, so only if one stays longer than a week will one be asked to water them once. It is true that the little ones (which are not that many, by the way..) on the kitchen balcony do need watering once a day in the summer, thank you for doing so, I hope it was not too much of an inconvenience. Perhaps l should mention it in my description.
Finally I am very happy to see that you felt that i helped you. I always try to do my best to make my guests feel as welcome as possible.
PS The majority of the guests I have hosted so far were very nice, and you seemed so too when you arrived. But I would like to make it public that when I returned home, I was utterly shocked by the state in which you had left my apartment. Wet dirty towels thrown all over the floors, the kitchen full of crumbs and sticky stains, unwashed cutlery in the sink, , a piece of food with mold !! on it, six bags of rubbish left behind (among which one with very smelly diapers!), the bathrooms I can simply not describe, chocolate and ink stains on many cloths, which can probably not be removed, curtains pulled down so that they hung only from one clip, plates with spaghetti stuck to them in the cupboard, one electricity socket torn out of the wall, and worse of all, you destroyed the dishwasher!
I am sorry to say that it was the worst experience I have had with airbnb.
I would like to express the opinion that when one enters somebody else's home, one should respect it as if it were his one. At least that's what I would have done...
