The Brown house was designed by architect Lisa Webb and built by my husband Richard. I was the hammer hand but pretty hopeless as I was pregnant throughout the three year build. We chose to build the house from untreated Douglas Fur and Pine and used natural waxes to seal the timber where necessary.
We love our home we built and enjoy going there with our boys to go skiing,fishing hiking and cycling. We hope you will enjoy it too. there is so much beauty in this pristine environment

Overall this an amazing location and the house itself is just spectacular. The house has aged a little but it does lend to the natural materials used in the overall construction and its closeness to nature. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

The Brown House has breathtaking views and the design of the house was beautiful. The owner provided many thoughtful touches including heaters, many DVDs, extra linen, toiletries, games and toys for the kids, and enough supplies in the kitchen for us to prepare meals for two days…

We had an excellent time at Janet's house, which is even more stunning in person than the pictures (which I couldn't believe). It was very stylishly appointed and quite cozy. We loved the wood stove and the cozy bedrooms. Thanks Janet, we will definitely be back.
