Gullyview Cottage cottage is very private and tucked away in its own garden space with private parking space. Inside you'll find a cosy and intimate open planned lounge, dining and bedroom (studio) opening into the ensuite with a large corner spa.
Our cottage has a lovely wood fire place, split system air-conditioning and heating, ceiling fans, corner 2 person spa in the bathroom, an ultra comfortable plush king size bed (which can be converted to twin share on request), LCD TV, DVD, Ipod Dock, CD Player/FM Radio, hairdryer and ironing facilities. Kitchen facilities include fridge (with freezer), electric stove, microwave, coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle and a full array of cooking utensils and crockery. A deck / patio with outdoor setting and electric BBQ overlooks a lane of lavender and beautiful views across Doctor’s Gully.
Linen and towels provided.
Also included in your stay is a complimentary bottle of wine* (*for 2 night + bookings), coffee pods, tea and farmer's milk. Olive oil spray, sugar, salt and pepper are also provided. Bathroom toiletries include shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Tea light candles are located next to the corner spa.
The ultra plush king size bed can be converted into twin share (2 x long singles) on request.
Light the fire, open your complimentary bottle of wine* (*2 plus night stays) while the double spa bath is filling, light the candles, dock your Ipod, dim the lights and just relax. Or, turn on the wall mounted LCD TV which you can watch from the couch or the comfiest bed! Please help yourself to our in house selection of CD's, DVDs and magazines.
Open the double glass doors out on to the extended deck and enjoy the sunset or the peace of the country in the morning. Or fire up the BBQ and cook up a feast using produce from our local providers, farmers markets and specialty shops. We're very proud to say our region is a foodie's paradise!
We are small pet friendly and your pet is most welcome. The property is unfenced but you will enjoy many long country walks. We do ask you to supply your own pet bedding and pet towels and not allow your pet to sit on any furniture. A $50 pet fee applies and will be added to the tariff.

We live in Melbourne but manage all bookings and stay in contact via email and or phone. We also have our lovely house carer and her team who look after our property and are local to Daylesford. Their contact number is listed in the guest book and they are available for you to contact them in case of emergencies.
Please note that only a small amount of firewood is provided that should be enough for an evening fire. If you want to operate the fire all day you may need to purchase your own wood.

Gullyview Cottage is secluded but at the same time is very close to the town of Daylesford - its got the best of both worlds!
Gullyview Cottage is located on a quiet and peaceful property overlooking Doctors Gully. The road is very private and only consists of 5 properties. There is private parking.
The property is situated 900 metres from the main centre of Daylesford - this is a 1-2 minute drive. Or if you prefer to walk into town it's only 10 minutes to everything you need! It is also only a 5 minute drive to the famous Hepburn Springs Bathhouse & Spa.
Daylesford is about a 1.5 hour drive (115 km) from Melbourne. There is also a train from Melbourne to Daylesford (V-line).

Usage restrictions apply to the wireless internet. The internet service in the region can be patchy so please don't rely on it for important work tasks.
Please note that Gullyview Cottage is located in a regional location and internet is supplied by a wireless dongle. We ask that you use the internet for basic internet surfing and emails only - do not use the service for large movie or large file downloads. Maximum usage per stay is 500 megabytes. Usage over this amount will incur additional fees.
We supply enough fire wood for the average stay. Shoe you wish to operate the fire constantly you will need to provide your own wood.
Should you require additional fire wood you can purchase in Daylesford at your own cost.
We are small pet friendly and welcome your little furry ones, for $50 per stay however pets are not allowed on the bed or furniture. Any damage caused will be charged to the guests. In addition to the pet fee a $50 pet bond is required to be paid for 7 days prior to check in and will be fully refunded if the property has not incurred additional cleaning costs. Please also ensure that you bring all pet beds/blankets.
Gully View rules are provided to ensure that guests and visitors know and comply with the specific rules governing their permission to enter and occupy our property.
a) Guests and visitors must comply with all Gully View Rules, Terms and Conditions of Gully View and Owner's instructions (written and verbal), and security services during their stay; and
b) Guests must notify Saxon Mitchell or Raelene (our house manager/ carer) of any disputes or complaints from neighbours as soon as is practicable.
Noise and Residential Amenity:
a) Guests and visitors must not create noise which is offensive to occupiers of neighbouring properties especially between 10 p.m. - 8 a.m. and during arrival and departure at any time throughout occupancy;
b) Offensive noise is prohibited and may result in termination of permission to occupy Gully View, eviction, loss of rental paid, and extra charges for security and other expenses which may be deducted from the bond under the Terms and Conditions of Gully View
c) Guests and visitors must not engage in anti-social behavior and must minimise their impact upon the residential amenity of neighbours and local community.
a) Guests are responsible for ensuring the limits set on visitor numbers is complied with at all times; and
b) Guests are responsible for ensuring that visitors comply with the Gully View Rules.
a) Guests and visitors are to comply with parking regulations and other requirements set out below and show consideration to neighbours' and others' vehicles; and
b) Parking arrangements at Gully View are as follows: When you commence entering the drive way please drive through and park closest to the property or towards the left side of the property. Please ensure that you don't block The Gables Bend's Studio carpark as they will block you!
Garbage and Recycling:
a) Guests and visitors are to dispose of garbage and recycling in accordance with the usual practice at Gully View (as set out below) in the allocated bins, and excess rubbish must not be left in public or common areas; and
b) Garbage and recycling arrangements at Gully View are as follows:
• All rubbish and recycling items must be cleaned up prior to check-out.
• Rubbish and recycling bins are located at the top of Green Gables Road & Vincent Street North and are labled Number 4 (Gully View) These bins are reserved for use by visitors and guests, and extra cleaning fees apply if rubbish and recycling is not disposed of properly.
Whenever all guests and visitors are absent from Gully View, close all windows and doors to maintain security and prevent rain and water damage.
Smoking is not permitted indoors. Smoking is allowed on the deck (ashtray provided) and cigarette rubbish must be picked up to avoid additional cleaning fees.
We are small pet friendly and welcome your little fury ones. Having an pet on the property incurs a $50 fee per stay. In addition a $50 pet bond is also required to be paid for 7 days prior to check in and will be fully refunded if the property has not incurred additional cleaning costs. Please also ensure that you bring all pet beds/blankets and please no pets on the furniture.
a) BBQ cooking facilities are located on the front deck. Power cord is located in the bottom draw of the kitchen. Adult guests are welcome to use the BBQ which must be left as clean as they were found. Bucket and cleaning agents etc are located under the sink in the kitchen
Damages and Breakages:
Damages and breakages must be reported to Saxon Mitchell via SMS or email.
On Departure Arrangements:
Arrangements for keys, security, dish-washing, rubbish, etc., must be handled as agreed and according to the Terms and Conditions of Gully View
In the event of an emergency relating to Gully View, please contact Saxon Mitchell or our house manager/ carer Raelene.
a) Breach of these Gully View Rules is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of Gully View.
b) The owner and manager, Saxon Mitchell & the carer Raelene, reserves the right to terminate permission to occupy and to evict from Gully View, guests or visitors who refuse to follow these Gully View Rules or who cause a nuisance.
