I appreciate your kind comments, but I was extremely surprised to see a 3 star rating (my only one in over a year with Airbnb) in the “check-in” category. Your reason for the low rating was “4PM is too late for check-in”. Since the time of check-in was almost entirely up to you, I feel this was very unfair for the following reasons: 1) A majority of my guests, including you, are from the Central time zone, which made it 3PM, your time. 2) You knew my check-in was 4-10PM before you confirmed the booking. 3) When I asked when you expected to check-in, you said you would be in town at 10AM and asked where you could access the beach and where could you find changing rooms. I offered to let you check-in at 10AM. You said 4 was fine. 4) I called you at 3:30 to say the train was late, for a guest I was picking up, and I might be a few minutes late getting home. You said you would be there at 4:30. At that time I told you I was planing to attend a 50th anniversary dinner and needed to leave about 6. 5) Just after 5, I received a text saying you were sitting down to eat and would be at my place about 5. You hadn't realized your phone had changed to Eastern time. You finally arrived about 6. I did everything I could to accommodate you, so this rating was undeserved.
