You will have your own room, with full access to the kitchen as well as the rest of the house and yard. I am pretty flexible, so please contact me if you have any questions or hesitations!
We foster pets for the humane society. Currently we have a hilarious cat named Eleanor with us.
Happy to have just purchased a new memory foam mattress, to make your stay even more enjoyable! (July 2017)
With a colorful and unique style, we are sure you will be comfortable in our home. Built in 1860, completely remodeled in 2014 there are plenty of amenities and charm. With lots of windows, color & plants, you are sure to be delighted with your stay.
The room for rent is upstairs and you will have full access to the rest of the house. The space has a New Memory Foam Mattress (July 2017), as well as side table and dresser. There is one bathroom in the home, toiletries will be provided if needed. A fully stocked kitchen allows you to cook as you please, or we can arrange for you to join our meals, since I love to cook. We have all the normal kitchen amenities as well as everything from a popcorn maker, to ninja blender. If you want to enjoy the weather outside, you may use the grill and patio as you please.
Being on the North End in Clinton we have a quieter neighborhood, which is perfect for enjoying the deck in the backyard with a beautiful view of the Mississippi River, or the front porch is screened if that is your sort of thing. We have a corner double lot with plenty of parking and a great yard equipped with vegetable garden and tree swing. In May 2017, we had a brand new 30x30 garage built in the backyard.
There are train tracks a few blocks down from our home, we are used to the noise and sleep right through.
We proudly welcome guests from all walks of life. Sexual orientation, religion, and race are none of our business, how you treat our room is! So please join my home safely, comfortably, and respectfully! #hostwithpride

My husband and I travel often and almost always use Airbnb, this is why we enjoy hosting as well and strive to give you a great stay to continue building friendships amongst travelers.
I work from home, and my husband is usually working from home also. We both enjoy some hobbies and have a lot of family in town. In short, just let us know how much you want to hang out and well see to it.
Andre ting, der er værd at bemærke
--We do have another spare room available with an air mattress. This room is set up as my office and dressing room, thus would be an air mattress amongst the organized chaos, although there is still plenty of space, I would need access to the room.
-This is my home and I have worked tirelessly to make it comfortable for my family as well as our guests, so please be respectful.
-We use green cleaning products, recycle, and compost, please join in as you see fit. If you have any questions I am always reachable.
-Leave your shoes at the door, slippers are okay, although we welcome bare feet too!
-I would prefer that you do not break or damage anything but I know sometimes accidents happen; I would appreciate you letting me know instead of hiding it. Horrifying story: I had recently dyed my hair red and after a shower my wet hair dripped onto a host's white rug! I was mortified but we settled the matter and no feelings were hurt.
-You are welcome to smoke on the deck, or on the front porch; we have an extra space heater if you need it.
-We have plenty of towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, and toothbrushes. Please just ask if you need anything, we are glad to help!
-I cannot remember a single day that we haven't had snacks, sweets, beer or wine in the house, so please help yourself, respectfully. I would love to chat and have a drink with you if you're interested.
-If you need directions, recommendations, and any other information on the town we are happy to provide that.
Im from Dallas, Texas but my husband and I now live in Iowa with a beautiful view of the Mississippi River. I love adventures and learning about other cultures! Mostly including the food, coffee, and booze!
