The Ambleside Cottage offers full privacy for a single or a couple looking for a serene getaway surrounded by the beauty of the Appalachian mountains. This magical cabin is conveniently located for travelers, yet Ambleside feel like a remote retreat nestled in the woods above Elk Fork Creek. The Cottage is an adorable tiny house, offering 500 square feet of living space with a kitchenette, a sitting area, and a bathroom with a shower. The queen-size bed is upstairs in the sleeping loft.

Lazy Bear Cottage offers direct access to Brimstone Recreation trails connecting to TWRA—ride straight from the cabin with no trailering required. Trails 2, 4, and 95 are easily accessible, with riding areas just 5–15 minutes away. Located 2 minutes off the highway, about 5 minutes from gas and a convenience store, and near Huntsville. Cozy two bedroom cabin with unobstructed views of the mountains. On the back deck there is a hot tub and a gas grill. Near Big South Fork and Historic Rugby. 3 mile hike from the cabin to the river round-trip. Or drive to the trailhead and hike half a mile to the river. Come here to unwind and de-stress. Totally peaceful :-) My favorite time of year is winter at the cabin. Nothing like sitting in the hot tub and looking out over the frosty trees and mountains!

You will stay at our guest house with a full kitchen, gas fireplace, laundry and a cozy porch and a grill outside. The bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room comes with a pull-out couch. The place can host 3 adults or a family of 4 very comfortably. We are non-smoking and pet free. Please don’t pressure me to bring your dog. Come and experience the magic of our land by the beautiful White Oak Creek.
