Unwind in the roll-top copper bathtub, elegantly set upon a mezzanine platform. We are located in a peaceful village, so ask guests to be mindful of noise. We are not suitable for loud parties or celebrations.

The cabin sits close to and above the river Eden, with stunning views and the chance to have total time out to relax or explore. Nestled in the Eden valley, it is very close to explore the Lake District or the Pennines and not far from the Scottish border. Transport is easy, 5 minutes from jct 40 at Penrith, on the A686. 1.5 hours from Newcastle and a 10 min walk from the Carlisle/Settle/Leeds station line.

WINDY HALL - Secluded luxury with stunning views

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!

The Cottage is set off the beaten track where you will have the chance to enjoy some peace and quiet and relax!

Comfortable converted watermill sleeping one or two couples, overlooking a spectacular waterfall, in the tranquil Eden Valley, between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Head outside to the private dining area overlooking Blencathra which is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of exploring or a soak in the hot tub reading a good book.
