The Mountaineer Cabin at Starr Mountain Retreat

Sitting on the porch, you have tree house views of the surrounding woods. It is close to the Hiwassee river which has rafting and tubing as well as fishing. The cottage has a breathtaking view of the Chilhowee mountain starting in September and last through the winter. It is visible from the dining room, living room, master bedroom, front porch, and back deck. There are three outdoors tables with chairs. It sleeps six comfortably with the option of an air mattress for extra people. It has a creek in the yard. It is 8 miles to the Ocoee river and the Hiwassee. Because you are in the National Forest there will be no shortage of parks to visit.

The spacious home is primely located in Delano, TN, a mile from Gee Creek, five miles from Etowah, a half-hour from Cleveland and Ocoee River rafting, and less than an hour from Chattanooga. You can trout fish or raft/kayak from the backyard. You can easily visit the nearby campgrounds and park, Amish Market, and take in all that the Gee Creek area has to offer.
