The Beautiful Chew valley lake is 3 miles away and is ideal for walks, bird watching and fishing. Other attractions within an hours drive are stone henge, Weston Super Mare, Longleat safari Park. The perfect base for visiting the West Country.

1 Gloucester Cottages is nestled in the quaint mining village of Stanton Drew in the Chew Valley, Somerset, The village is home of the prehistoric Stanton Drew stone circles, the second largest stone circle in Britain after Avebury. The cottage is great for families and couples, it has a fully equipped kitchen and is furnished through out, a king sized bed and double with all linen included. We have fast wifi, parking and an open working fireplace for those cosy nights in with a bottle of red.

Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. This lovely annex has its own private entrance with a small fenced garden and patio area with table and chairs. There is one ensuite kingsize bedroom (or 2 singles) and a open plan kitchen with sofa bed (more suitable for children as no separate bathroom) There is parking outside. Our beautiful hamlet is very quiet with great walks from the door. We do run a working farm so you may occasionally hear that in action. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
