Today, it is a private Estate with big jungle trees, about 4km of trails, fruit orchards and beautiful gardens. The house has been fully renovated and is welcoming and comfortable. A large wrap-around terrace looks out toward Volcán Barú and La Amistad Park. Hacienda Viva offers a setting to slow down and reconnect. Terra Foc is a completely private one room space. The hotel has a private pool exclusively for the guests of this room. Next to the pool there is a "ranch" with kitchen and terrace also private. The views of ocean and mountain and the isla del caño, are spectacular from everywhere in the property. Most of our guests have called our place paradise, and it has been featured in a novel as such... There are five unique beaches from 5 to 25 minutes away, and we are 400m away from the waterfall.

Whales and dolphins will show off right in front certain months of the year. IMPORTANT: please consider the driving time from San José: 4 hours. For their safety, we ask our guests to arrive before sundown. the roads are in good state, but not well illuminated.
