The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Egmont Villa Farmstay is 5-10 minutes from New Plymouth by car, with panoramic views over the city, Tasman Sea & Mt Egmont/Taranaki. You will stay in your own spacious modern, self contained studio apartment which includes large bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. Spacious dining inside & out. Kitchen/bathroom well equipped & clean. Like to share flowers & produce from the garden when available. We love people & sharing our local knowledge. We offer you a private, warm, small quiet space neatly contained on the ground floor of our family home. Our quiet street sits right above the ocean where you can hear the lapping waves of the Tasman sea from your private courtyard, and have unlimited views out to the horizon. You'll want a camera for the sunsets. The entrance to the room is separate from the entrance to our house, so one has complete privacy. We offer modern bicycles for guest use at the cost of $20 per day, per bike.

A separate small building contains the toilet.
