You can gaze at the wide-open country stars as well as listen to the sounds of the countryside. We're a 34-minute drive to the South of Possum Kingdom Lake, a 10 minute drive to Palo Pinto lake, and a 27 minute drive to the new Palo Pinto Mountains State Park. The Lazy Possum Cottage is a modern fishing cabin on the north side of Possum Kingdom Lake. This newly remodeled waterfront property offers a gentle slope to the water perfect for swimming and wading. It is usually deep enough to moor a boat or jet skis right at the shore although if the water level fluctuates you might have to tie it up a little further out or use our boat slip at the Marina less than a quarter mile away.
