Wild strawberry Shepard’s Hut with Hot Tub

Beautiful shepherds hut powered by solar for an off grid experience along the Wild Atlantic Way situated on Connemara farm land located 20 minutes from Galway city and 10 minutes from Oughterard and Lough Corrib. Sleeps 3 with a double bed and a single bed. Kitchenette with running water and gas hob, separate fire pit/BBQ area and outhouse with toilet, sink and heated shower. There is a small wood burning stove in the Shepherds hut with kindling provided. Towels and bedding are also provided.

The apartment is located on our working farm with views of Lough Corrib and Shannaghree Lakes, as well as breathtaking views of Connemara Mountains. Situated on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Oughterard, the house is a 5 minute walk from the shores of Lough Corrib and its fishing facilities. The village of Oughterard, restaurants, cafes and grocery stores is 3kms from the house. Oughterard Golf course and Aughnanure castle are within 2kms. Connemara with its gorgeous villages and Atlantic beaches are easily reached by car as is the world famous Kylemore Abbey. Galway city with its many charms is located 25kms away.

Golden Mile Cottage comprises of three spacious double ensuite bedrooms. The bright and airy kitchen has cream country style fittings with sitting for 6, it is quipped with all the essentials. The kitchen’s open plan area leads into to a living area, a relaxing space that looks out through patio doors onto the south facing terrace and lawn. The living room has open fire which some supplies of logs and local turf. The cottage comes with all the mod cons. Complimentary Wifi available.
