The McKenzie River Trail parallels the property, and is accessed from the private road to the cabin. The property has a campground setting, with river and forest views.

The Beach House @ Shelter Cove is located at end of a cul-de-sac road in a quiet neighborhood with complete privacy on the property with private beach access, and unobstructed views to the Lighthouse at Cape Blanco, 6 miles to the north.
