It has one remote adjustable bed in the spacious twin room, a full sized disability bathroom. The lounge includes a standup chair and a fold out couch bed. The cottage has ramps into the front and back of the house. Most doors are wide and the light switches low. The house is located next door to a flower farm. Flower views in summer.

Titiwai is a stunning, architecturally designed, unique space set in 50 ha of a gated, native conservation estate. This tranquil home is stylish and contemporary, celebrating many designer features, furniture and fixtures from local artists and craftspeople. Large sliding doors open the back and entire front, creating indoor/outdoor flow onto extensive decking which steps down onto landscaped native gardens, seating and bush tracks. The views of the coast, offshore islands are breathtaking.

The Observatory, Semi Self-Contained Unit

We welcome you to our home, which has views of the ocean and farmland. The guest area is located on the ground floor. Only a 10 minute stroll into the township of Whakatane, and five minute drive to Ohope Beach, voted one of the safest surf beaches in NZ. The entrance to the famous Nga Tapuwai O Toi walking track is only 2 minutes from our home. If you are into astronomy, the Whakatane Observatory is steps away from our property, open to the public Tuesday and Friday evenings.
