We are 15 mins to Donner Lake and Truckee and just a bit further is spectacular Lake Tahoe. Donner Summit area has some of the finest skiing in the world, it's an ideal location as your base for hitting the slopes. Locally -Soda Springs Resort, Donner Ski Ranch, Royal Gorge, Sugar Bowl and Boreal. Squaw Valley and Alpine and Northstar are half an hour away

Like a home on a golf course except up here the golf course is Royal Gorge Cross Country Ski Resort and Soda Springs downhill ski resort. Sugar Bowl and Donner Ski Ranch ski resorts are only two miles down the road. Boreal is just one exit away on highway 80. Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and North Star are all about a 20-30 minute drive away (weather dependent) For rent is the bottom unit of the duplex

Very close drive to Bay Area (3 hours) yet within close proximity of Reno, Truckee, and Lake Tahoe. 5 minute walk to Soda Springs Ski Resort (ski-in/ski-out)! In summer, great hiking and lakes all close by. Insanely fast wifi (400mb download, 40mb upload). Please see note about train close by and possible noise.
