Giant Sunflower — in our old (1871) Kentucky home

Our Giant Sunflower room is the largest room located on the 2nd floor. It overlooks the original formal entry of the home. A grand sugar maple over 150 years old greets you as you look to the north. This bright room offers a comfy couch, a reading chair and a king-sized bed with luxurious organic cotton sheets. The private hall bathroom with a large tub and shower just outside your room. Cotton robes and slippers await as well as a delicious continental breakfast when you decide to rise & shine.

NEW fire pit! Charming, peaceful home in Hodgenville, Ky. Conveniently located 1 hr south of Louisville, and 1 hr north of Bowling Green, Ky. Also, 1 hr. 10min. to Lexington. Only 15 min. drive to Elizabethtown, or to the Ford plant in Glendale. Also 50 min. to Mammoth Cave National Park. And 25 min. to Bardstown, bourbon city. In the area is Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Park, his Boyhood at Knob Creek, Lincoln Museum. Walking distance to downtown for food, shopping, entertainment, park.

When you first arrive, you will find the entrance on a large, covered patio. There is a gas grill there for your use. We also have a fire pit, so bring wood. Feel free to take a walk down to the river at the bottom of our property. There you will find a park like setting where you can relax and listen to nature if you like. Eggs, bacon and biscuits provided.

Bourbon Trail Country Farmhouse

The Farmhouse is on 5.8 acres and is on the historic Bourbon Trail. The house has a master on the main floor with a queen bed connected to the bathroom. Also, bathroom access from the hallway. There is a large upstairs sleeping space that has one queen bed and two twin beds. Beautiful wrap around porch. There is a separate over the garage apartment across the large driveway that accommodates 2 people as it is a one bedroom with a queen bed. Listed as Bourbon Trail Country Class.
