The Homecoming in Highmore, SD

This newly updated and refurbished 1920's home is a beautiful space to bring your family and friends for a restful stay with all of the amenities of home. If you are coming "home" to stay you may know this house as the old LaFortune home. It boasts three stories with adequate space to spread out. It is a comfortable space for families to gather for a reunion or holiday gathering. It is also perfect for friends coming together to hunt the prairie of South Dakota or fish for walleye on the Missouri River 35 minutes away. We are 45 minutes east of Pierre, South Dakota. The home is conveniently located near downtown Highmore within walking distance of the local grocery store and auditorium where many local events and wedding receptions are hosted. All queen and the king beds are brand new sleep number beds to ensure that your sleep is high quality. The Homecoming has three queen beds, one king bed, two single twin beds and a futon for a comfortable stay for 12 guests. The home has one half bath on the main floor, one full bath with tub and shower on the 2nd floor and another 3/4 bath on the 2nd floor with a shower. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of your cooking needs including a dishes, glassware, silverware, blender, toaster, and coffee maker. We have a heated entry space that is perfect if you are coming to the area for hunting or fishing! Though pets are not allowed within the house space, we do welcome dogs to stay in the garage or entry room space. We also have an accessible washer and dryer in the basement.

Cottage on the Lake

At the edge of a quiet, glassy lake stands a small cottage, where time seems to slow with the gentle rhythm of lapping water. Inside, the cottage is simple and inviting. The kitchen, modest and bright, equipped and ready for your first cup of coffee on the deck As evening settles, the world hushes. Fireflies begin their soft glow along the shoreline, and the water reflects the first shy stars. The cottage becomes a lantern against the darkening sky— a place of refuge, reflection, and quiet joy

Peaceful Twin Lakes Home

Peaceful, spacious home less than 1 mile from Twin Lakes near Woonsocket. Great for hunters, family gatherings, & more! Less than 40 min drive to Mitchell or Huron. Three bedrooms, one with a full bottom bunk bed with a pull out trundle bed. Three cozy living areas, with one of them featuring a futon and a pull-out couch for extra sleeping space! The dining table has leaves for extension, with additional chairs on site. Two stall garage attached to the house. 30amp camper hookup available.

Bunkhouse on the Prairie

Enjoy a peaceful countryside stay at our working family ranch. The bunkhouse has separate parking and entrance from the main house. The one bedroom features a king size bed and a pullout couch located in the main living space. The kitchenette includes a coffee pot, microwave and small refrigerator. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with shampoo and conditioner dispensers, and blow dryer. Full heat/AC and wifi. The bunkhouse is attached to our garage but completely separate from our house.

Patten Prairie House

With not another home in sight, unwind at this unique and tranquil get away surrounded by thousands of acres of native prairie and all the modern amenities and communication assets you have at home. With a history going back to the original Native Americans, followed by the settling of our Swedish immigrants, preserving much of the native prairie, this home, sitting under expansive cloud filled skies and vast dark starlight nights, is literally as quiet and peaceful as one can imagine.

Rosedale Lodge-Lots of Space Inside and Out!

Rosedale Lodge was originally built in the early 1900's and was recently renovated, keeping the historic charm, while updating to modern conveniences for your comfort, relaxation and enjoyment. Rent entire house or individual rooms. There are 7 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a full kitchen and a small kitchenette in the basement. WE REALIZE MANY PEOPLE TRAVEL WITH DOGS, ESPECIALLY DURING HUNTING SEASON. PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU WILL HAVE A DOG WITH YOU SO WE CAN DISCUSS ARRANGEMENTS

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. located in the heart of pheasant county. 5000 acres of public walk-in area, within a 10 Mile radius. you'll stay where you can watch pheasant, deer, and other wild life. The view of the countryside is fabulous, from the deck and living room window. This is a one bedroom, also has a sofa bed in main room

The Power House

Enjoy a stay at a recently renovated office space turned apartment. The recently renovated office space is in the front building of a shop for a local business. This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment is in walking distance from bars and restaurants, stores, the movie theater, and more! **no oven, small kitchenette only, but does have a propane grill on site and electric skillet, toaster, etc.
