Epic Views of the Green Mountains

Luxurious bohemian style overlooking one of the most epic views in the Green Mountains. Surrounded by 25,000 acres of National Forest and complete seclusion, yet just a short ride from several towns. Spacious, immaculate, modern home with rustic beams and gorgeous wood floors. Each of the three bedrooms (and baths!) have a wonderful view. The master bedroom is massive and has sweeping views out over the Battell Wilderness and the Long Trail. The front of the cottage is a wall of windows overlooking a beautiful pond and the Green Mountain National Forest. No light pollution. No noise except for the tree frogs and the sound of the White River rushing over the rocks far below in the hollow. It's worth mentioning that Breadloaf Mountain Cottage was a gift that I am grateful for. I still can't believe that I am so lucky to be able to enjoy it frequently. Please understand that those sweeping, epic views you see all around you when you are there, come at a price. Being perched atop a mountain in the wilderness has obvious benefits, but due to frequently changing weather, access and utilties are sometimes a bit more tricky than something in town. Please be prepared to be patient with the weather and the WIFI. While my internet is as good as anywhere in Vermont, it is a rural network and is likely more quirky than urban or suburban utilities. I have a 20mbps service. Breadloaf Mountain Cottage is at the top of a ridge that runs parallel to scenic Route 100. It sits at about 1600 feet above sea level. While completely secluded, it is just 1.3 mile to the Granville Store, and just a few minutes more to Hancock, Rochester and Warren. You could spend weeks just exploring the hiking, biking, swimming and fishing opportunities right from the property! Breadloaf Mountain Cottage is located on Forest Road 55, just off scenic Route 100. While it is easily accessible year round, a 4X4 or AWD vehicle is highly recommended in snow and mud. Quality AT or snow rated tires are a must in the winter. This is true generally in Vermont. Come prepared.

The Barnbrook House

Come relax in the serenity of the quiet countryside. This home boasts beautiful views, a large stone fireplace, and stained glass windows throughout the home. Enjoy the comforts of home with a full kitchen, amenities, and beds with 1500 thread count sheets while exploring the interesting features of this one of a kind house. Sit by the spring fed pond overlooking the property laced with apple trees. The home has direct access to short walking trails and is close to VAST trails for snowmobiling.

Welcome to our Farmhouse! A 2.6 acre property one mile from Bristol Village shopping & restaurants, 20 minutes to Middlebury, 35 minutes to Burlington & Sugarbush. You are staying in the main house. The home is three stories, four bedrooms, two full baths, a full kitchen, three living room spaces, two sofa beds and comfortably sleeps up to 8 people. We live on on the property with an outdoor cat & German Shepherd Jax. We are pet friendly with fee. * Steep stairs from 1st to 2nd floor.

Perfect for a quiet stay in town or as an adventure home base. Off-street parking for two cars.

Situated on a quiet country road this adorable home on one wooded acre has lovely mountain views and a peaceful setting. Nearby you will find skiing, hiking trails and quaint Vermont towns with shops and restaurants. Manchester and Rutland are 30 min. drives, Dorset is just 20 min. Granville NY has a large grocery store and other shops and is only a 15 min. drive.

Dock with whips available to dock boat (19 ft. or less). 8 Miles to Middlebury. 5 minutes to store and year round lakeside restaurant. Garage for bike storage [not for cars]. 3 day minimum stay.

Forest Hideaway

Our single story 2 bedroom 1 bath home is located within 30 minutes of Mad River Glen and Sugarbush ski areas and the quaint towns of Bristol, Richmond and Waitsfield. Drive another 15 minutes to Burlington or the Bolton Valley Ski Area. Hiking, biking and cross country skiing trails are nearby, or just sit on the porch and enjoy the sounds of the nearby river. Snow tires and front wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicles necessary during the winter months.

Walk Everywhere and Enjoy a Historic Vermont Home

This historic 1860's home has been uniquely renovated to feature it's history combined with modern comfort. The kitchen is the focal place in the home which opens into the dining room. Watch the sunset from the back deck or while soaking in the hot tub! Original wood floors, tin ceilings, doors/door handles, etc. will take you back in time. This recently renovated home is conveniently located 1.5 miles from Middlebury College campus and all that Middlebury has to offer! The back deck and spacious yard are perfect for relaxing outdoors. The open floor plan is cozy for one and accommodates families well. The master bedroom is furnished with a queen bed and the second bedroom has two twin beds.
