The mountains are calling! We welcome you to our tranquil home with a hiker motif, nestled just outside of the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Franklin, NC. This private apartment is the entire lower level of a duplex (we live upstairs). The place sleeps up to 4 people; has a washer & dryer; full bathroom, kitchen, and living room. 2 parking spots only (sorry, no RV's or trailers). Location is across the street from a river walkway and 1 mi from downtown; the Appalachian Trail is just 10 mi's away.

Mountain Getaway

Please Note: This property is not accessible with trailers or boats because of the tight turns on the road in. It is no problem for standard size cars or pickups. Come enjoy our Mountain Getaway nestled in The Nantahala National Forest and only 3 miles from Main St. in Franklin. You will enjoy quiet solitude after a full day of hiking, biking, white water rafting, or viewing some of our many waterfalls. Your GPS will get you to our door but feel free to call if further directions are needed.

Great get away for two in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Close to town, waterfalls, hiking and scenic views. Located in Franklin, NC and about an hours drive to Asheville, Cherokee, Maggie Valley, Bryson City and Clayton, GA! This unit is one of two available spaces attached to our home with private entrance, bed and bathroom. Easy access off state maintained paved road without sacrificing beautiful mountain views! No stairs to deal with!

I can't think of a better place to be than Highlands, NC. The only thing better is a location with the ability to walk everywhere in town and be above a Wine Shoppe! You will access to our Main St. facing front yard with fire pit, tables and chairs. The end to a perfect evening is having a glass of wine while sitting by the fire pit. Our apartment was remodeled in 2017.

A wonderful small 1 bedroom apartment that is in downtown Franklin within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and brewery. This apartment has everything that you need for a wonderful stay in Franklin. Sorry no PETS!! In the off season we will consider longer term rental.
