This is a elegant retreat on two levels including a large kitchen/dining room, downstairs bathroom and upstairs bedrooms and living area. For families there are child locks, stair gates, cot and high chair available upon request. Part of the downstairs is locked off for work space and will be in use through the day. Lodberries: (Old Norse, hladberg, a landing rock) were used as waterfront stores. A short walk from the town centre and harbour. Historic setting & unique layout, built into the sea. Main rooms look directly over the water & rocky beach, directly opp the house famed as the home of DI Jimmy Perez in "Shetland". Ground Floor: Kitchen with open plan dining area + main bedroom with ensuite shower room/toilet Upper Floor: Large lounge with balcony overlooking harbour area, 2nd bedroom & bathroom

East-Gate Selfcatering

East-Gate was built new in 2018 the property is located in central Shetland and beautifully finished. Outside the patio door takes you onto a decked area which you can sit out on for your morning cuppa or evening glass of wine or to simply take in the scenery . It has the latest air to air heating and air con. We are very lucky to have a hot spot for otter sighting on our door step just a short walk down the field. The sea views and coastal walks makes this an ideal tranquil location.

Located on King Harald Street, the cottage is within walking distance of Lerwick town centre, near various cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. Please be aware that there are two sets of steps to get up to the cottage (27 in total), so it may not be suitable for people with mobility issues, or prams/buggies.

Our cosy cottage is deceptively spacious with 2 good sized bedrooms., kitchen/diner, lounge area, shower room, decking area and large parking area. Small pets are welcome, as long as they are house trained, and you tidy up after them.
