Nestled in a pretty, friendly village 3 miles from Fowey is our well equipped and homely Cornish miners cottage dating from 1860, under a mile from the beach and just a 10 minute drive to The Eden Project. Pebble Cottage is located on a quiet no-through lane (The Saints Way) which leads to open countryside one way and towards the beach and coastal path the other. There is central heating, a private parking space and fully enclosed, flat, sunny courtyard garden (no steps!) with seating and BBQ.

South coast beaches can be found 5 miles away with the north coast being around 20 miles away. You will find so many things to do including walking, sightseeing, fishing, visiting many types of attractions. We offer a warm welcome and as much or as little interaction as you prefer. Chy Bownder is a cosy semi-detached modern cottage in the centre of the old Cornish capital, Lostwithiel. It is tucked away down a quiet lane with easy and reasonably flat access to the town. It is family and dog friendly with a secure patio garden. One private parking space is provided. Additional parking is less than 50 meters away in the free car park. Beautiful scenic riverside and woodland walks are nearby as well as stunning Cornish coastline and beaches just a few miles away.

Unique and perfectly situated coastal retreat

Unwind and relax in this historic gem of a home. There has been a mill on this site since 1298 and in 2019 we completely refurbished the current 18th century milll to a very high standard to ensure a truly comfortable and magical getaway. You'll be surrounded by trees, bird song and the constant sound of running water and the sight of our resident heron by the waterfall. The Mill lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Daphne du Maurier country, on the Fowey estuary.

Lostwithiel Railway Station is a 5 minute walk, and is on the mainline from London to Penzance.
