Rockhaven, a romantic getaway is a rare find. Step back in time and enjoy almost 600' of lake shore on Vermont's unique Lake Champlain with 180 degree views, from westerly views to New York's Adirondacks, through the north and east to Vermont's Green Mountains. This private site is 2 acres with mature trees, meadows, and wooded buffers, ensuring a peaceful and private stay. There are two cottages available; they can be rented separately or together. Each is one bedroom with private bathroom.

Cottontail Cottage - Peaceful yard & SAUNA

Quiet and peaceful cottage in a beautiful setting. Located on 6 acres adjacent to the Shelburne Pond Nature Reserve and only 15 min to the Church Street Marketplace in downtown Burlington. Enjoy the sunrise over the hills behind the cottage and sunsets over the Adirondacks to the west. Sit in the chairs or chaise lounge in the private backyard listening to the birds or relax in the shared sauna after a day of skiing or snowshoeing. (The sauna is available by reservation to ensure your privacy.)

About this Space Our cozy Studio Retreat is nestled in the woods on the 2nd floor of our detached garage, 5 min outside the charming village of Bristol. Bristol has several very good restaurants, shops, an art gallery and a library. You'll find hiking, biking trails and swimming. Middlebury is 15 min away and offers art galleries, breweries, a winery, shops, restaurants, hiking, skiing and more. Burlington is 45 min away, Sugarbush & Mad River Glen ski areas are just 30 min away. Lots to do!

The home is a 10 minute drive to downtown Burlington & the airport, and a short walk to the river, several cafes, restaurants, pubs, nature areas, and a brewery. Winooski is referred to as “the Brooklyn of Burlington” because of the foodie scene and rich cultural diversity.

The Yurt In The Woods is 30 ft in diameter - 700 spacious sq. ft. It's surrounded by trees and has a yard. 2 night stays required for Weekends. The month of October I require a two night stay. Relax with your family in a quiet neighborhood nestled in the foothills of Mount Mansfield. You will have access to hiking trails, mountain biking trails, snowboarding/skiing, and swimming! Smugglers' Notch, a fantastic family ski resort, is only a 15 minute drive. Stowe is 30 minutes away (one hour in winter). If you are interested in checking out Burlington during your stay, we are only a 45 minutes to amazing restaurants and lake views.
