As featured on the NYTimes T list, this property is a "Kyomachiya", a traditional Japanese home over 100 years old. It has been revamped from a "Nishijin-ori" (traditional Japanese textile) factory. It is located in the traditional Kamigyo Ward, minutes walk from the Imperial Palace. We collaborated with award winning architects at Ikken to renovate this space, which now accommodates the comforts of modern life, while retaining many of the original structure and elements from its past.

We offer four bicycles free of charge for you to explore the charming backstreets that buses cannot reach. Additionally, for long stay guests , we provide a complimentary shuttle service to or from Kyoto Station upon request.

Guests can enjoy your garden while enter the GOEMON-BURO. 2 minutes to Sijo-Dori(downtown) on foot, guests can enjoy shopping and access to public transportations soon.

This is the house, which is located at Nishijin area in Kyoto. 1st floor has a living room, a kitchen, a bath room, and a toilet. 2nd floor has two bed rooms. You can use whole this house for 2 - 5people. *We are also running "Expo Hostel" near this cottage. We ask all the guests to check in at "Expo Hostel Ori", since the location of this cottage is a little bit difficult to find.
