A home away from home, in the grounds of our family holiday home, the house is just 300m away from the entrance of Tollymore Forest Park. Unwind in the hot tub soaking in the dramatic view of the Mourne Mountains. Inside, relax in front of a cosy wood burning stove. Lively Newcastle town, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is less than 5 minutes drive away. Other attractions close by are Murlough Beach, Castlewellan forest Park & many walking, hiking & cycling trails.

Ballyhornan Cottage

A beautiful cottage, set off the main road with private parking and large back garden. Surrounded by fields and only a 2 minute walk to Killard beach and the start of the breathtaking Killard National Reserve walk. Just a 10 minute walk in the other direction will have you at Ballyhornan Beach. Castle Ward Estate and Winterfell (GOT) is only 4 miles away and so is the picturesque village of Strangford with plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy. The house has been recently refurbished.

Bird Island Bothy

Wake with the rising sun, shrill calls of the wading birds, and waves breaking on the shore only meters away. The wild shore and vegetation provide a great habitat for birds, mammals, insects and spiders typical of the Irish coast. Wading birds can be seen feeding along the undisturbed shore. Bird Island Bothy has the feel of a sailing ship's cabin with chunky wooden beams, mock four-poster bed and plush velvet curtains. A great base from which to explore the Ards Peninsula.

With over 100 years of history, this beautiful white cottage is located at the start of main street In Ballyhornan. The cottage is around a 1 minute walk to the beach, you can see it clearly standing at the front door. Although the cottage has lots of his history, it is decorated with a modern twist. It has the perfect back garden which is not only peaceful and relaxing but it the best sun trap. 3 miles from Ardglass, 6 Miles from Strangford and 7 miles from Downpatrick.
