Front-seat views of the west coast - Tasman Sea - in a comfortable home with easy/quick access to the beach via private steps to the boardwalk. Home has all the comforts to chill-lax. Peaceful location. Warm home. Woodfire to warm those winter nights (house is toasty warm in 15 mins - fire wood provided). You'll enjoy the peace & tranquility this home has to offer. Situated on a bush fringed, sunny section, this barn-style holiday home has the basic comforts and enjoys a pleasant outlook over the surrounding bush to the sea.  The house is a brief stroll to the calm, sandy estuary beach or walk a couple of minutes further to the stunning surf beach. Garden Hill Cottage, Maungatapere

Away from the hustle bustle, enjoy this quiet serene spot. The property is well off the highway and the neighbouring orchards screen us from traffic noise. The cottage is nestled between small avocado and mixed fruit orchards, with a view out to the small pond and post’n’rail fenced paddocks beyond. Last minute bookings are usually no problem - we respond quickly. Relax with the family (with up to 3 children) in this organic permaculture lifestyle block with animals that love being fed.

Black Rock Holiday Home - Tutukaka

Modern cedar home in Dolphin Bay, Tutukaka with all the modern benefits including a separate self contained sleep out. Absolute water front with panoramic ocean views and access to the beach below for fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, exploring, or just sitting on the sand. Enjoy all day sun from the ocean facing decks and then retire to the courtyard in the evening for a BBQ while sitting in front of an open wood fire. Tutukaka's finest restaurants and bars only a 3 minute drive away

The Annex - self contained unit .

The Annex is on a small farmlet, 6 km south of Whangarei, with harbour views. It was a sleepout, built in the 1980's, separate, but next to the main house. It has two bedrooms. There is a double bed and two singles plus a day bed in the living area. The living/ dining area, has a wood fire. There is a small shower room and separate toilet. It is situated about 100 mtr off SH1, so there can be road noise. There are no streetlights and it can be very dark if you arrive after sundown.

The Yurt Wai Rua

The Yurt at Wai Rua, west of Whangarei, is approximately 20 minutes drive from Kamo via Pipiwai Road. It is set in a beautiful tranquil farmland area beside a small lake, which is surrounded by native trees. Watch the native birds, ducks and pukekos whilst sitting on the deck. It has amazing rural views, including massive volcanic rocks. The yurt has a separate kitchen, with a small fridge and gas oven and 2hob burners. The bathroom has a hot water shower and composting toilet.

Kelly’s Cottage by the Sea

This newly updated family cottage at Urquharts Bay is perfectly located to take full advantage of everything that stunning Whangarei Heads has to offer. Swimming in the bay or at nearby Ocean Beach; fishing from your boat or the fishing jetty; kayaking in the bay, with scenic walks and longer tramps right at your front door. The entire living space and main bedrooms have stunning views of Urquharts Bay. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful beach cottage retreat.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.
