Private 40-Acre Hacienda Estate

Our Hacienda sits on 40 Acres of land that was once one of the areas original Coffee plantations. Today, it is a private Estate with big jungle trees, about 4km of trails, fruit orchards and beautiful gardens. The house has been fully renovated and is welcoming and comfortable. A large wrap-around terrace looks out toward Volcán Barú and La Amistad Park. Hacienda Viva offers a setting to slow down and reconnect. Small house in the center of Volcán, fully furnished, equipped with a coffee machine so you can grind and brew your own cup of the local coffee. It has recliner seats for your comfort where you can enjoy the Roku app for either Netflix or the moviesanywhere app close to restaurants and the main supermarket Romero, climb the Barú Volcano, go to the nearby town of Cerro Punta famous for its "fresas con crema" or visit one of the local coffee farms where the world famous geisha coffee is produced.

Casa El Guarumo sits at the top of our 4-acre permaculture farm, situated between Parque Internacional La Amistad and the town of San Vito, Coto Brus. Come to reset and unwind. Take in the beautiful mountain views, clean air, and pure water. Enjoy fresh fruit, coffee, and handcrafted chocolate from the farm. Adventure to nearby waterfalls and hot springs, hike the farm trails to the creek, or drift off in a hammock to the songs of the myriad of bird species that can be observed in our area.

The cottage is surrounded by abundant nature and gardens with many local plants and flowers. We are located at 4 minutes driving to downtown, where you can find parks, tours, hiking trails and excellent gastronomy. Upon request we can set you tours, private transfers, shuttles and catering service, before your arrival.
