Surf Sanctuary Retreat and Sauna: Beach & Redwoods

The Surf Sanctuary retreat is minutes away from remote beaches and redwoods. Please note: Redwood Park is 30 minutes away. The sanctuary is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen and bathroom. We are located within a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 30 minutes away from Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect launch location for hiking, surfing, cycling and enjoying this amazing place. Enjoy our beautiful quiet space for relaxation and renewal. The space is shoe and scent free.

Blue Lake Sanctuary

Surrounded by pastures, it's a short walk to the Mad River for swims and walks. The Mad River Brewery is less than a mile up the road. Excellent mountain biking is 1 mile away. In a 15 minute drive you can find the hip town of Arcata, surrounded by redwoods and hiking as well as a majestic coastline. Sundays 10 am to noon we host a family friendly ecstatic dance in the studio adjacent to the apartment. Expect music at that time. Come join us! Public Yoga classes are Tuesday & Saturday am.

Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. Your comfort is very important to me!

Just down the steps across the OUTDOOR LIVING ROOM, step into the "Shower Grotto", inside an Old Growth Redwood Stump with a Rain Shower.

Welcome to The Wind and Tide where forest meets sea. Our newly remodeled home is situated on three acres of forested cliffside overlooking the Pacific, just north of the seaside village of Trinidad. Tranquility awaits as you take a dip in the hot tub and relax by the fire pit, soaking up the sounds of sea lions, the views of migrating whales, and sunsets and stargazing galore. Tide-pooling, agate hunting, and exploring Sue-Meg State Park is just a short drive down the road.

The cottage is cozy and comfortable, with handcrafted touches throughout. It is in a beautiful, rural setting with an easy 10-15 minute drive to both downtown Eureka and downtown Arcata. If you are looking for a farm stay in the redwoods, come stay with us at this studio cottage with a full kitchen, washer dryer, patio, and fire pit. Enjoy the early morning (and sometimes all day) sounds of ducks, geese, turkeys and cattle . Surrounded by acres of Redwood trees, no street lights, and lots of wildlife.
