Centrally located 1 hour from Roanoke, VA and 45 minutes to Greensboro, NC. We have 4 Smart TV’s (family room and bedrooms). The cottage is about a mile to Philpott Lake, the perfect place to fish , go out on a boat, or kayak. there are hiking trails near by.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This is a quaint 1945 built house with all the modern conveniences of home. We renovated this home with a European Italian flair and farmhouse shabby chic. The first floor you’ll find all you need along with a coffee and wine bar. You’ll have your own dressing room equipped with lighted vanity, wardrobe and luggage rack. The second floor is for additional guests with a queen bed, twin bed and sitting room for kids.

Your group will enjoy easy access to everything the City and Southwestern Virginia has to offer from this centrally located, spacious house. You will be within walking distance of Uptown, the Dick & Willie Trail, and the Virginia Museum of Natural History. This historic home was one of three homes built by the Simmons family. Dick Simmons, president of American Furniture Company built and lived in this home.
