A beautiful get-away surrounded by nature on a cacao farm! One-bedroom + loft cabin, full kitchen, bathroom, w/d, sunny lanai, on our Big Island off-grid permaculture farm. Cabin is nestled in a food forest a few hundred feet from a stunning waterfall with swimming hole in a peaceful bamboo grove. Come enjoy our guest house with Pebble Beach just a 2 minute walk down the road! Our piece of paradise is located in a peaceful neighborhood where you can see and hear whales spouting and slapping their tails (in season) and enjoy ocean sunsets. Pebble Beach is a great place to snorkel, kayak, or start a hike along the Kings Trail to volcanic formations or a hidden black sand beach. We are located approximately 45 minutes south of Kona, and 75 minutes to Volcanoes National Park.

The Cottages At Volcano - Hale Alala

Surrounded by the rainforest of Volcano and situated just outside of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, our cozy cottage offers a welcoming place for some rest and relaxation between adventures. Hale 'Alalā is named after the highly endangered hawaiian crow whose reintroduction efforts have been focused on the forests around Volcano. While there are no longer any Alalā living in the wild, you can see a pair of live Alalā just down the road at the Panaewa Zoo (free admission).
