Jack Jr.-a little place in the woods

Jack Jr is tucked away at the edge of the woods up on the hill of the historical city of Newaygo. This space was created to be a getaway from all the hustle bustle with a .5 mile trek (walk/bike/drive) into the town of Newaygo or its many surrounding adventures. Bike or hike the Dragon Trail, visit the Newaygo Brewery or Market 41, fish the Muskegon River or any of the multiple surrounding bodies of water we have. Float the river in the summer or hit the snowmobile trails in the winter.

With a sandy bottom & clean water, this 60 acre all-sport lake is a wonderful spot to paddleboard, kayak, fish, boat or just sit, rest & read. Gradual depth increase & no drop-off. There are 2 public launches & our 40 foot private dock for your own boat or jet ski! 2 kayaks & 1 paddleboard available. Joining us in winter? Ice fishing, local snowmobile trails & beautiful sunsets.

Riverbend Ranch is a place to rest and reset. A place where you can find adventure for the outdoor enthusiasts and peacefulness for those who seek tranquility. Deer run through these ravines and salmon swim through the river bend, come see all the wildlife! Enjoy soaking in the hot tub and spending time with those you love on the ranch! It is on the smaller side but we're a big family and want to make sure other families and friends that don't mind sharing one bath have the option. Just 40 minutes from Grand Rapids and less than 10 minutes from downtown Newaygo. Spend a day on the sandy shores of the lake or close by tubing trips down the Muskegon River.

Welcome to our cottage! We are located directly on the Muskegon River in Newaygo Michigan. The Muskegon River is known for its great fishing. You can fish right out front of the cottage or bring your own river boat and keep it at our dock. Kayak and tube rentals are available in town. Enjoy the intimate feel of the cottage with cozy rooms and a fully stocked kitchen for you to enjoy eating in. Downtown Newaygo has many restaurants and shopping if you want to venture out.

Green Acres: Your Home Among the Trees

Steeped in nature, the gazebo provides a get away into nature, with its double bed and intimate sized room this is a wonderful space for 2 to be immersed in a peaceful environment. Whether you came here to rest & revive or to explore there is plenty to be had! The gazebo has a nearby compostable toliet (shared with other guests), and just a 1 minute walk on a path in the woods to the main house (where the full bathroom is that can be used 9am-8pm).

Relax listening to the water flow over the dam or bring your fishing poles and fish right off the deck and at the dam, next to the cabin! Bring your kayaks and venture down the channel to the lake. Sip coffee in the morning right on the deck and enjoy the private view. The cabin has a queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the second bedroom. This cabin is great for a family with two children, or a couple looking for a quiet get away!

Rumored to have once been a secret hideaway for well-dressed Chicago visitors who preferred their privacy — Always Hart Lake is a hidden fall retreat on Hart Lake surrounded by forest. Private beach, 6 kayaks, fire pit, and pure peace. 3 bedrooms, sleeps 7. Just 20 minutes from Muskegon. Some places are easy to visit. This is one you won't forget.
