This is about more than just cocktails, it's about taking a sensory journey to the heart of Mexico's culinary culture. You'll be guided through the creation of two to three distinctive mezcal/tequila cocktails whilst learning about flavour profiles and the cultural significance of the ingredients you'll be using. If you like your cocktails with a kick, this is for you. A unique opportunity to have charismatic, knowledgable bartenders in the privacy of your own home with our team of world-class, award-winning, bilingual mixologists; Ana, David, Sade and Liza.

This Experience is fantastic for private groups looking to gather virtually over the Holidays! Whether you're celebrating with family, friends or coworkers, we'd love to host your get-together. We offer a discount of 8% for groups of 11-20 participants and a discount of 12% for groups of 21-30 participants. These are automatically applied when you select the 'book for a private group' option. For groups larger than 30 send us a message and we'll sort out a manual discount :)

We are Hardey & Katri, co-founders of Gente de Mezcal and together with our in-house award-winning mixology team, led by Ana Herrera, we have 15+ years of experience in the spirits industry. Ana created our own bespoke menus for our 3 intimate venues in Mexico City; El Salón, Los Románticos and Salón Rosario where we pride ourselves on offering our clients unique spirit tasting experiences found nowhere else in the city. We have inside-out knowledge of Mexican flavours and ingredients, and work with local producers on small-scale, sustainable productions. Our Tobalá won a Double Gold medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2019 while our Tepeztate and Espadín each won Gold medals. Great activity for those who unable to travel directly to Mexico, or have always been curious of what makes Mexican Mezcal such a great spirit. Class adapts to whatever you have on hand, so do not sweat if you run out of or don’t have the exact ingredients.

Very well thought out experience. The bartender was very willing to cater recipes to what you had on hand, so cocktails were personalized to you. Highly recommend this class!

I thought a virtual cocktail class would be weird and awkward but this was so much better than the average Zoom call! My date and I had so much fun it almost felt like being out in the real world again! Cannot recommend more highly.
