  • We were in town the week after July 4th, and had a great stay in Scotty and Mo's place. This AirBnB is more like your traditional small hotel room (which their ad is very clear about), and we loved it. We were only in Louisville for two nights, and didn't need a kitchen or a separate lounging area. It was very clean and comfortable, the bed was super comfortable, the AC worked great, and they provided nice bathroom amenities. They gave very clear, easy-to-follow instructions for how to access parking and the unit, and could not have made our stay easier. We had a couple of questions upon arrival and they responded right away. They also provided water and area maps. The unit is surrounded by restaurants and coffee, really walkable (Please and Thank You next door was great for morning coffee and bagels, and we loved Garage down the street for dinner and a wonderful bourbon list). We enjoyed our stay and Scotty and Mo were great hosts. We'd definitely stay here again.

  • My old roommate from college and I enjoyed spending the night in Scotty and Mo’s very stylish and comfortable nook in the Nulu District! Everything we wanted to see was walkable from their place, which we also felt safe and secure in. Their place is close to many popular and notable restaurants, shops and establishments. They gave us great recommendations which we are so glad we took advantage of! Made our visit even better. Would absolutely stay here again if we return back to Louisville!

    Groove along to some retro vinyl by local artists under the mirrored disco ball in the last US city to still make them. This antebellum property also benefits from exposed brickwork and beams, street art, and a bathroom with creative tilework.
    Located at the corner of South Clay Street and Nanny Goat Strut, we named our restored property the Holy Goat. It was build as a German Methodist church in 1843, and it now has four individual residencies: The Parsonage, Fellowship Hall, Ali Suite, and Braden Suite, which can be booked individually or combined to house up to 16. The second story commercial space, also known as The Revival Room, boasts the church’s original windows and choir loft, and accommodates up to 75 revelers. A portion of the ground floor now houses Nanny Goat Books, a shop for new and used books specializing in local authors. The building’s outdoor courtyard is a place to relax and commune, and all aspects of the interiors were designed and celebrate Louisville’s unique history, vibrant arts, and resilient spirit. The Parsonage is on the second floor of the building, which is accessed via an exterior stairway, so guests should be comfortable climbing a flight of stairs to access their residence. The entrance is shared, but the residence, including the bedroom, lounge, bathroom, and kitchenette, are private to you. There is shared laundry on the second floor. Quiet hours from 10pm-10am. No Parties or large gatherings - only registered guests after 10PM during quiet hours.
    NuLu and Market Street are 2 of the most happening spots in Louisville, and this property is right in the center. Walk to downtown museums, Slugger Field, the skate park, and a plethora of shops and boutiques, plus restaurants of many cuisines.

  • Thank you Jessi and Creighton for the amazing stay in the Parsonage! We were in awe of the space from the moment we walked in. We loved the styling and the vintage Kentucky artifacts. We have stayed in a lot Airbnb’s and this was the most memorable yet! The location was very walkable to restaurants, breweries, distilleries, and the baseball field in the NuLu neighborhood. It was only a 5 min drive to Germantown and Bardstown! We got a great feel for Louisville. Creighton was quick to respond and flexible with our family’s needs. There’s a courtyard outside the apartment that was great to read in and play board games. Jessi and Creighton were amazing hosts and we had the chance to spend some time with them one evening and it was lovely. They have great recommendations for restaurants and activities around town.   • My wife and I love to visit Louisville and our favorite place to stay is NuLu. This was one of the best rentals that we have been lucky enough to stay in. The hosts responded to any message within minutes. The design of the space was really fun, clean and comfortable. One of the reasons why we love NuLu is that all of our favorite spots for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, art and shops are there. The Holy Goat is right in the middle of all of it. Though maybe not the authentic KY bourbon distillery, we also loved having craft cocktails on the top floor deck at Rabbit Hole distillery for the first time. You can see the distillery from the front of the rental!

  • We really enjoyed our experience staying at John’s condo. The condo was absolutely beautiful. It was very clean and furnished with modern furniture and appliances. John was readily available to help out and answer any questions we had. John provided everything we needed for our stay including maps/guides to NULU and downtown Louisville. We walked a ½ mile to Louisville Slugger’s Field to enjoy a Louisville Bats game. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We would stay here again. I highly recommend staying at John’s condo if you plan on visiting Louisville.

You are a short walk from anything to do in downtown Louisville. We definitely recommend to anyone.   • This is a great place. It was the little touches like snacks and drinks upon your arrival. John provided maps which definitely came in handy. Check out Market St. The bars, shops, and restaurants are awesome ie Garage Bar, Royals Hot Chicken, and the Mayan Cafe. Also visit Against the Grain Brewery and get the Pork Belly on a stick. If you the weather is nice and you are going downtown, don't hesitate to walk. You are only about a mile away. We walked back after going to the Frazier Museum. Stay here you won't regret it.

  • Great spot, right in the downtown area of Louisville. It's a great little place that is well done and has everything a traveler could need. Super clean, and easy communication with the owners. I promise, this is a value for staying so close to the downtown area. The rental comes with a secured parking garage, but you probably won't need your car since all of downtown Louisville was accessible by foot. I took in 4 distillery tours and never needed to drive. So close to many fun places to see. Don't pass on this one.

    NuLu and Market Street are THE happening spots in Louisville. We are walking distance to downtown museums, Slugger field, waterfront park, the pedestrian bridge, the skate park, and a plethora of shops and restaurants. The list of dining options is expansive and varied. You will find everything from a delicious handmade muffin at Please & Thank You to a decadent 3 course meal at Butchertown Grocery. There are intriguing shops and galleries on Market street and scattered throughout the neighborhood. The free trolley picks up passengers a block away and ride shares like Lyft or Uber can be called at all hours. Our favorite thing about this neighborhood are the warm neighbors, business owners, service providers and shop keepers that call NuLu home.
  • I booked the Braden Suite last minute after learning of my Grandmother’s sudden death. Jessi and Creighton were very hospitable, answering all my questions promptly and even left us a sweet treat upon checking in. The apt. was spotless and so very chic. The bed is very comfortable and the surrounding area is eclectic, urban and hip. There’s plenty of food, coffee and shopping options should you have the time. My husband and I were able to take in a few sights and used the walking bridge across the river during an early morning run. Parking is plentiful.

We brought our pups with us and were able to walk them with ease around the area. The hosts left handmade soaps, shampoo and conditioners which smelled AMAZING! Most of all, we super appreciate how accommodating our hosts were. We reached out around noon (same day!) to see if we could stay for a night and within 3 hours, the apartment/suite was ready for us.   • The location is great. We walked everywhere. At the unit, there were very nice conveniences by way of refreshments, toiletries. And some nice touches like a record player, and treats that are specialties of Louisville and KY. We were fortunate to have met Jessi and family who were warm and friendly. They also gave us a lot of information that helped us make our way around, and try some things we otherwise wouldn't have thought to do (example eat at Pizza place just as you cross the Big 4 bridge into Indiana). We are very glad to have stayed here. There is still a lot more we would like to do in Louisville, and would definitely consider going back. Both for the location, as well as the hosts :)

    Sunshine is located in the thriving neighborhood of Louisville's trendy NuLu neighborhood. Lots of the finest dining, shopping & sightseeing can be found within walking distance.
  • As for location while we wandered the Bourbon trails of Kentucky, very few places could compete. The neighborhood appears to be booming with many wonderful places new and old in very much walking distance. The physical layout of the place was spot on and although you are in a gated parking area, it is a major city, so lock your doors as there was an incident in which our car was examined, but I didn't lock the doors. With that said, the criminal didn't damage the car only ruffled through it and thankfully there were no goods to be had. While walking the neighborhood we felt safe and as with many urban areas, there were some homeless encampments but we had no issues. As for a host, you couldn't ask for a more responsive person than Renee before and during your stay, if we have the chance in the future for a Louisville return, we certainly will give this place top consideration.

    This small but mighty efficient 500 square ft 2nd floor studio apartment is the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway or business trip for up to two people. The beautiful, 100 year old building the apartment is in makes for a cozy and romantic space and the neighborhood is truly lovely. Keyless entry into both the main door and the studio apartment makes check in a breeze. There is plenty of free parking available on the street in front of the house. Located right next to the extremely popular NuLu neighborhood and all the Downtown event venues, as well as the Highlands and the Clifton/ Crescent Hill neighborhoods, you'll find all sorts of things to do within just a few miles of the house. Most of the city's concert and sports venues and the urban distilleries are all a short walk, bike ride or Uber away. You won't find a more convenient spot in Louisville.

  • This was a great, convenient place to stay. The decor was stylish. A lot of the apartment was updated and modern, like the fireplace, kitchen, and bathroom. There were still a few areas needing attention, like a broken towel rack on the bathroom wall. The dishwasher was broken, but Wils communicated very well explaining we could leave any dirty dishes in the sink. Check in was quick and easy, but I thought it was strange because we just got the key from under the front mat. I wish there had been a lockbox for added security. The deadbolt on the front door also did not work, but the lock on the knob did. Maybe security is not an issue in the area... the surrounding houses seemed nice. We walked to the river and took a short drive to the heart of downtown. Enjoyed the stay overall, especially the modern features of the apartment.

Rehabs of old houses and apartment buildings and new houses, this neighborhood is home to long time residents, and newcomers, a ceramics studio, and artist Ed Hamiltons studio and continues to change.

  • I would definitely recommend this home, my convention was downtown and it was only a 6 minute drive!!! JD and Jon were perfect hosts. The room was clean, nicely decorated, the bed and linens were fabulous and the layout with the bathroom right across the hall was perfect. The neighborhood is so charming and I felt comfortable and safe. It is street parking and I never had an issue not finding a spot. If your a pet person, you will fall in love with theirs! JD and Jon are close to everything and even have bikes you can ride to the shops or wherever. They also gave me my space, which is important to me. They had delicious coffee and breakfast items in the morning or offered eggs from their own chickens. I tried the eggs one morning and they were so fresh and tasty. Thanks again guys!!!

The space is small but very cozy with higher end floors, glass block/granite counter top, fireplace stainless steel cabinets, ceiling fan etc When renovation we decided to keep original 100 yrs old cast iron bathtub and sink but unfortunately with age there comes some discoloration that proved impossible to remove. Fixtures are clean there are some stains. The house has WiFi, laundry facility, free bicycle rental. In most cases I don't even meet guests as they are able to let themselves in via electronic lock and I only show up if something is needed. The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centrally located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown. There are two bus lines (21 and 19) in front of the house that will take you to major parts of the city. For detailed maps look up TARC bus system. Downtown, Riverfront, Highlands, Nulu are all within waling distance. Parking is on public street. It's safe and plentiful except midday during the week but you can always find a spot just not directly in front of the house.
    The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centrally located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown.

I never heard anyone else the entire time I was there. I was five minutes away from the conference I was attending downtown and five minutes from the good restaurants at Bardstown Rd. I felt safe.   • Greg was great about communicating and letting me know how to access the studio. I was in unit 3. Although you can hear the neighbors, there was really not much noise. The street on the weekend is very quiet so not problems sleeping. The air conditioning works great. The efficiency kitchen is really useful. The only thing to keep in mind is that the bed is on the smallish side - but I'm 6'1 and 210 lbs - so that might not be an issue for many folks. There's convenient street parking which was not at all problematic on the weekend. All in all - great space for the price - and a great place in general.

    Butchertown/Nulu is where locals love to hang out! It's an up and coming neighborhood so we have some of the best coffee shops, boutiques and restaurant/bars in town. We are right around the corner from Quills Firehouse Coffee Shop, Please and Thank You Coffee Shop, Butchertown Grocery, Mayan Cafe, Feast BBQ, Royals Hot Chicken, Rye, Garage Bar, Decca, Grind Burger, Taj Louisville and so many more amazing places! We're about 1 mile away from the KFC YUM Center, downtown, Waterfront Park and 5.8 miles from Churchill Downs--where the Kentucky Derby happens!
  • Evan and Jones’s place is a nicely renovated home that retains the feel of the original 1920s house. The “Writer’s nook” room I stayed in had large windows overlooking a tree filled back yard and a modern bathroom and was quite nice. The location is about a mile from downtown.

  • Exactly as described. Cozy little apartment with a small kitchenette area and bathroom in a great location for exploring Louisville. The space is not large and there isn't a lot of room to lounge, which you can see in the pictures. Otherwise it's super nice and clean. Check in and out is very easy. It's a house split into three apartments with a shared laundry but you don't really notice any of the other guests. On street parking is not bad, it's easy to find a space right out front. And for the price, you can't go wrong!

    Located right in the heart of Louisville's most popular downtown neighborhood. This gorgeous, 1100 square ft shotgun style house has been converted from a retail space. A short walk from nationally acclaimed farm to table restaurants, popular bars, local roast coffee shops, galleries and boutiques. You can also walk to several different bourbon distilleries and Slugger Field. Free city circulation buses and pay as you ride bike and scooter stations can get you to slightly further major venues.
    The Heart of NuLu is an 1100 square foot home in the traditional 'shotgun' style. This warm, exposed brick space is linear in design. The brick walls provide a cozy continuity to the individual living spaces. Enter into the living room. There is a small kitchenette in the middle of the space and a large, king size bed in the back of the building next to the bathroom. The bathroom features a tile and glass shower with a lovely stone floor. All amenities including furniture are brand new and have been selected with the traveler in mind. This open floor plan may not be ideal for groups that require privacy from each other. Note that due to the layout of the house the furnace vent or the HVAC is located above the bed. This causes air to flow across the sleeping area which may be uncomfortable or annoying for some. If you are a light or sensitive sleeper, you may be bothered by the white noise produced by the HVAC at night. Note that there is NO STOVE. The kitchenette area features a toaster oven and small refrigerator for drinks and snacks. There is a Kureg and a French Press for coffee and an electric kettle for hot water. Note that there is NO CABLE. The Smart TV has Netflix. You can log into your Amazon or Hulu accounts. There is also a Chromecast for you to use if you would rather stream from your own device.
    The NuLu neighborhood is chock full of amazing places to visit. The house has two large chalk boards in the kitchenette area detailing individual establishments that are absolutely worth a visit within 2 walking blocks in each direction. A long walk or a Uber or LIFT can get you to many other excellent destinations within 5 or 10 minutes.

Everything was SO clean, the bed was super comfy, and it has all the amenities we needed (wine glasses? check. knife for cheese? check. easy parking? check!). It was pretty cold the weekend we stayed, but Kimberly had a space heater we could move around which was a nice added feature. The studio is a central location, with some really great places nearby (we loved Taj for late night drinks) and Kimberly had the best recommendations! Thank you so much for a great stay!

    This house was built in the 1900s and has the original trim, doorways and charm. As a traditional shotgun, you immediately enter into the first bedroom then proceed through the second bedroom to get to the common living spaces. With all doors open you truly see from the front entrance to the back entrance. But don't let that fool you, it's very roomy with plenty of space and really tall ceilings. :)
    Phoenix Hill is located just east of downtown and is included in the historic district. The neighborhood includes: a large medical district, a thriving arts district, a thriving entertainment district, social service agencies and agencies that serve the homeless, small family businesses and larger industry, single-family homes, market-rate apartment complexes and subsidized housing complexes, and new and historic churches.

    NuLu is best known for its art galleries, specialty stores, antique shops and a growing number of local, upscale restaurants. The term “NuLu” is a portmanteau meaning “New Louisville”. As home to the greenest commercial building in Kentucky, many historic restoration projects, as well as several restaurants offering organic and locally sourced ingredients, NuLu has emerged with a culture of sustainability. Market Street is one of four major corridors inextricably intertwined with the history and development of Louisville; the earliest map of the city identifies Water, Main, Market and Jefferson Streets. In this section of the map you can clearly see the 800 block of Market between Shelby and Campbell. In 1804 the first Market house was established at Fourth and Market. The first brick house built in Louisville was constructed on the south side of Market between 5th and 6th Streets. During the 1820s the street was the scene of impromptu horse racing. During the early part of the 19th century Market Street was the common address for retailers and service industries supporting Louisville’s development as a center for regional commerce. The thoroughfare was the heart of the development of the city as a livestock market with herds of livestock in constant travel along Market between the Bourbon Stockyards and the river. During mid-century, the increased traffic along Market necessitated widening the street to accommodate the great variety of traveling merchants and products. Three block long sections of Market, between Floyd and Preston, Campbell and Shelby and Sixteenth and Seventeenth Streets were widened and several market houses were established here. In 1892 the Methodist Episcopal Church at 216 S. Shelby housed the Shelby Street Market (This is now the site of the Flea off Market). As part of this development a small park was established on Market Street between Shelby and Campbell. Named Kenton Place the park ran the length of the block and was enclosed with a fence to separate visitors from the streetcars that bypassed on the north side. However, by 1905 the park had been removed and the trolley traveled the center of the streetin 1940s The adjacent neighborhoods of Butchertown and Phoenix Hill and the Bourbon Stockyards at the east end of Market insured that Market Street was a vital artery of commerce. The 1852 City Directory noted “the entire extent of this street is given up to retail grocers, provisions dealers, and clothiers”; almost everything purchased in Louisville, either was produced or sold on Market Street. During the last half of the 19th through the early 20th century, at the beginning of the era of the great department store, three major Louisville retailers, Levy Brothers, Bacon’s, and Loevenhart’s open for business on Market Street. The historic integrity of feeling and association of the area today is supported by an eclectic mix of retail shops, restaurants and businesses. The diversity of this neighborhood is evidenced by the historic fabric that exists today along this corridor. This fabric is rich in historic design, materials and details; brick, limestone, cast iron. This is not limited to above ground structures. Recent archaeological investigations in downtown Louisville have revealed that a wealth of cultural historic resources are intact and these sites could have potential significance for their data content. During the nineteenth century Market Street was an important center of commerce and industry. Like many other urban historic business districts during the 1960s and 1970s it experienced a decline when competition from new commercial shopping areas began to be developed in the suburbs. However, Market has learned to reinvent itself and has become a unique destination. This strength is evident by the establishment of the East Downtown Businessman’s Association (now the East Market District Association) whose goal is to work together toward the revitalization of their commercial district. In 2007, Preservation Kentucky commissioned a study to analyze the economic impact of historic preservation in the Commonwealth. In that study completed by Dr. John Gilderbloom of the University of Louisville, the importance of historic, walkable, approachable downtowns appears through such varied topics as job creation, environmental benefits, and heritage tourism. In terms of job creation, noted economists agree that historic preservation creates 43 jobs for every $1 million invested — new construction cannot come close to that figure. Downtown revitalization in Kentucky created an estimated 4720 jobs in 2006 alone. Reports for across the state confirm that 1,923 permanent jobs were created in Main Street districts in 2006. From the study, “In Louisville alone, $76 million was spent on private rehabilitation projects on Main Street in 2006.” These projects support Louisville’s historic revitalization but more importantly they help retain the city’s unique Sense of Place.

    This is former rental building in the process of upgrading. I do my best to make it clean and cozy but exterior and common areas still need attention. I appreciate my guests comments and suggestions and every month the place gets better. If everything goes well you'll never see me but I'll show up within minutes if something's needed. Check in is automated via PIN code that I'll send you prior to your arrival. The immediate neighborhood is not particularly attractive in my opinion but it's centraly located so it takes just a short walk to major attractions like Nulu, Highlands, Ohio riverfront or strict Downtown. There are two bus lines (21 and 19) in front of the house that will take you to major parts of the city. For detailed maps look up TARC bus system. Downtown, Riverfront, Highlands, Nulu are all within waling distance. Parking is on public street. It's safe and plentiful except midday during the week but you can always find a spot just not directly in front of the house.
  • Cozy space near downtown. The room was a bit eclectic but comfortable. I especially appreciated the Apple TV. The place is very clean and well maintained. Apartment is easy to find and in a good neighborhood. You may want to stay closer to downtown if you plan on exploring the nightlife, but the neighborhood felt safe and is conveniently located. Greg is attentive to guests and hands-off. Easy to check-in and check-out. Excellent host. Especially recommended for longer stays.

The studio apartment was charming, and large enough for the 1 night stayed we had there. There's sporadic art on walls & around, which gives it some charm. In this section of the map you can clearly see the 800 block of Market between Shelby and Campbell. In 1804 the first Market house was established at Fourth and Market. The first brick house built in Louisville was constructed on the south side of Market between 5th and 6th Streets. During the 1820s the street was the scene of impromptu horse racing. During the early part of the 19th century Market Street was the common address for retailers and service industries supporting Louisville’s development as a center for regional commerce. The thoroughfare was the heart of the development of the city as a livestock market with herds of livestock in constant travel along Market between the Bourbon Stockyards and the river. During mid-century, the increased traffic along Market necessitated widening the street to accommodate the great variety of traveling merchants and products. Three block long sections of Market, between Floyd and Preston, Campbell and Shelby and Sixteenth and Seventeenth Streets were widened and several market houses were established here. In 1892 the Methodist Episcopal Church at 216 S. Shelby housed the Shelby Street Market (This is now the site of the Flea off Market). As part of this development a small park was established on Market Street between Shelby and Campbell. Named Kenton Place the park ran the length of the block and was enclosed with a fence to separate visitors from the streetcars that bypassed on the north side. However, by 1905 the park had been removed and the trolley traveled the center of the streetin 1940s The adjacent neighborhoods of Butchertown and Phoenix Hill and the Bourbon Stockyards at the east end of Market insured that Market Street was a vital artery of commerce. The 1852 City Directory noted “the entire extent of this street is given up to retail grocers, provisions dealers, and clothiers”; almost everything purchased in Louisville, either was produced or sold on Market Street. During the last half of the 19th through the early 20th century, at the beginning of the era of the great department store, three major Louisville retailers, Levy Brothers, Bacon’s, and Loevenhart’s open for business on Market Street. The historic integrity of feeling and association of the area today is supported by an eclectic mix of retail shops, restaurants and businesses. The diversity of this neighborhood is evidenced by the historic fabric that exists today along this corridor. This fabric is rich in historic design, materials and details; brick, limestone, cast iron. This is not limited to above ground structures. Recent archaeological investigations in downtown Louisville have revealed that a wealth of cultural historic resources are intact and these sites could have potential significance for their data content. During the nineteenth century Market Street was an important center of commerce and industry. Like many other urban historic business districts during the 1960s and 1970s it experienced a decline when competition from new commercial shopping areas began to be developed in the suburbs. However, Market has learned to reinvent itself and has become a unique destination. This strength is evident by the establishment of the East Downtown Businessman’s Association (now the East Market District Association) whose goal is to work together toward the revitalization of their commercial district. In 2007, Preservation Kentucky commissioned a study to analyze the economic impact of historic preservation in the Commonwealth. In that study completed by Dr. John Gilderbloom of the University of Louisville, the importance of historic, walkable, approachable downtowns appears through such varied topics as job creation, environmental benefits, and heritage tourism. In terms of job creation, noted economists agree that historic preservation creates 43 jobs for every $1 million invested — new construction cannot come close to that figure. Downtown revitalization in Kentucky created an estimated 4720 jobs in 2006 alone. Reports for across the state confirm that 1,923 permanent jobs were created in Main Street districts in 2006. From the study, “In Louisville alone, $76 million was spent on private rehabilitation projects on Main Street in 2006.” These projects support Louisville’s historic revitalization but more importantly they help retain the city’s unique Sense of Place.

  • The stay at Bed and Bike was great. We had an AirBNB reservation that fell through the night before our stay at Bed And Bike, so we weren't able to make the reservation until Saturday morning, the day of our stay. They were extremely quick to respond to our last minute reservation request and even worked with their team to make sure we could check in early. I highly appreciate their communication in needing to get this space last minute. The location was great, just a few minute Uber ride to downtown. The building was really cool and funky and although we didn't use the bikes lined up in the hallway, they looked like really good bikes and even provided helmets. The condo was nice, with two great bedrooms, each having its own quiet AC unit (along with one in the living room). Living room was nice with funky decor, great TV with streaming services. Kitchen was small, but nice. No dishwasher. Bathroom was spacious and nice, with cool blue night light. Only had two very minor problems: 1. The bedroom doors would stick, so when you had to pull hard to open in the middle of the night, it made a loud noise. 2. The ceiling fan and light in the living room did not work, so we had to move the floor lamp over by the dining table for better lighting for playing cards. But those were minor inconveniences. Overall, VERY happy with our stay and the condo itself. Would definitely recommend for a fun stay in Louisville.

We are right around the corner from Quills Firehouse Coffee Shop, Please and Thank You Coffee Shop, Butchertown Grocery, Mayan Cafe, Feast BBQ, Royals Hot Chicken, Rye, Garage Bar, Decca, Grind Burger, Taj Louisville and so many more amazing places! We're about 1 mile away from the KFC YUM Center, downtown, Waterfront Park and 5.8 miles from Churchill Downs--where the Kentucky Derby happens!

  • I came down for a culinary competition at the expo center and I brought my husband along. While I was at the competition all day he set up his xbox and played while was gone. He said the wifi was good. Note that you can hear through the walls very easily and below is another airbnb that can accommodate a family. We can no issues this the family and the noise. Kids need to let out there energy HAHA. Luckily they were quiet during the quiet times. Overall we loved our stay. The apartment is walking distance to downtown and the area is beautiful! We definitely plan on booking again next year!

It's beautifully decorated and so clean, the mattress/blankets/pillows are beyond comfy, and the little private entrace with personal balcony and fire is so convenient. Hannah was an amazing host, quick and friendly communication and so accommodating. She left extras like snacks, coffee pods, tea, a list of local recommendations, and even a couple beers in the fridge. I loved this space and it was so close to everything downtown (with free street parking). I was a solo female traveler and felt really comfortable knowing they lived downstairs as well.   • This studio apartment is very centrally located (we were downtown to the palace in 5 min...and to the highlands in 5 min...). Just a few blocks from NULU too. The space is small (studio apartment) but way better than a hotel room! It’s minimal but very trendy and cute, and extremely clean! Hannah left some chocolates in a bowl (nice touch!) and a binder with info on bars, restaurants, and attractions! The bed is very big and extremely comfortable, and the daybed is wider than it looks in the photo (acts as a second bed, or a very comfy couch to watch TV). Honestly no complaints! Stay here! The deck is a nice feature and the fire pit is awesome (even though it was raining and we couldn’t use it). Thanks!!

  • In the heart of Nulu and such a sweet little spot! My wife and I stayed here for our wedding night and it was perfect! Communication was wonderful and our stay was easy, private and close by to everything you could ask for. Everything was spotless and the sunrise was gorgeous through the windows with the city skyline. Would definitely stay again!

  • Extremely clean. Good location and lots of food within 2-3 blocks. Building was safe. Pool and outdoor area/game rooms were EXTREMELY clean. Very well kept building. I’m planning on staying here again when I come back to Louisville in January.

  • This apartment was great! The location was perfect. There were plenty of bars, breweries, and restaurants within walking distance. The riverfront is super close, Louisville Slugger Stadium is right around the corner, whiskey row is just up the street, and the museums are nice and close as well! The apartment was clean, the check-in/check-out process was easy. The building itself seemed pretty new, and free garage parking was a big plus! Definitely would recommend!

    This spacious NuLu suite pays tribute to Louisville’s own Muhammad Ali in true urban style! Located in a lovingly renovated 1843 church, it boasts a king-size bed, brand new bathroom, kitchenette with table for 4, and lounge sofas that comfortably sleep 2. You'll be in the middle of all Market Street has to offer — steps from Rabbit Hole Distillery, Nouvelle, Garage Bar, and tons more. A 10-minute ride from the airport, you'll be half a mile from Slugger Field and 1 mile from the YUM! Center.
    Located at the corner of South Clay Street and Nanny Goat Strut, we named our restored property the Holy Goat. It was build as a German Methodist church in 1843, and it now has four individual residencies: The Parsonage, Fellowship Hall, Ali Suite, and Braden Suite, which can be booked individually or combined to house up to 16. The second story commercial space, also known as The Revival Room, boasts the church’s original windows and choir loft, and accommodates up to 75 revelers. A portion of the ground floor now houses Nanny Goat Books, a shop for new and used books specializing in local authors. The building’s outdoor courtyard is a place to relax and commune, and all aspects of the interiors were designed and celebrate Louisville’s unique history, vibrant arts, and resilient spirit. No Parties or large gatherings- only registered guests after 10PM quiet hours
    NuLu and Market Street are THE happening spots in Louisville. We are walking distance to downtown museums, Slugger field, waterfront park, the pedestrian bridge, the skate park, and a plethora of shops and restaurants. The list of dining options is expansive and varied. You will find everything from a delicious handmade muffin at Please & Thank You to a decadent 3 course meal at Butchertown Grocery. There are intriguing shops and galleries on Market street and scattered throughout the neighborhood. The free trolley picks up passengers a block away and ride shares like Lyft or Uber can be called at all hours. Our favorite thing about this neighborhood are the warm neighbors, business owners, service providers and shop keepers that call NuLu home.

  • We had a great stay! It was within walking distance to lots of bars and restaurants, the space was very clean and comfortable. Easy to find street parking every day, and the shared outdoor space was a great touch. I would consider it a studio apartment - no separate bedroom, more of an open layout. A very unique building that has been renovated creatively. I would look forward to staying here again the next time I come to town.

  • The Ali Suite is a wonderful place to stay! The location is just steps away from a variety of restaurants, bars, and interesting stores. The space itself is incredibly cool and artistic, and the theme is carried out in a perfectly tasteful way. The place was spotlessly clean and there were some fun welcome gifts and personal touches that made for lovely surprises. As mentioned in the description, there were noises from adjoining spaces and the adjacent alley, but it didn’t bother us and we didn’t use the provided earplugs. The suite is an open concept area, with the bedroom partially separated from the main living space by a closet. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. Perfectly comfortable, but mentioning it because I couldn’t tell this from the pictures and it might not provide enough privacy for some. The overall design and decor of the place is incredibly well thought out and perfect— it’s a really fun space! Communication with the hosts was smooth and easy. Jessi was quick to answer any questions and helpful with recommendations about local activities, and checked in with us throughout the stay. We enjoyed our stay and would very happily return again for future stays in NuLu! Highly recommended. (Thanks again, Jessi & Creighton!)

  • This is a beautiful space is a cool neighborhood. We were really excited to have the opportunity to check it out. There’s a ton to do and visit within walking distance. Our only complaint is that we ended up visiting on a very cold weekend and the heating unit in the space could not keep up with heating the place. Communication was great in figuring out if we were using the heat right, but all in all, it was just really cold in the unit all weekend.

  • We had such a wonderful stay! Although we were only visiting for two nights, we still managed to pack in a lot of activity. The space is super hip, stylish and comfortable. The location is perfect, just around the corner from great shopping, restaurants and the Rabbit Hole Distillery (amazing bourbon!) Creighton was available through our stay and gave us some good recommendations. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

  • Creighton’s place is ridiculously awesome! He’s managed to up the game in an area that already has a lot of amazing Airbnb rentals. He has an really great eye for detail and finds the perfect of balance enhancing the rustic charm of an old church with modern furnishings while paying tribute to one Louisville’s greatest. The back patio is the perfect place for a morning coffee or sipping a margarita while taking in the lightning bugs and steady chirping of crickets on a warm summer night. Not to mention that you can’t throw a rock from their doorstep without hitting some of the best restaurants in Louisville!!
