Restoration of the gate lodge was completed in 2019 and undertaken with the utmost regard for the history of the building with many of the existing 18th century features sympathetically maintained whilst providing the comforts of 21st century living in a traditional country cottage style turning it once again into a real eye catcher.

It is ideally located beside the village shop, Olde Bar and children's playground (Tennis/Basketball courts). Garden and BBQ area are available for guests to use. The Hunting lodge, Equestrian centre and hotel is a short 5 minute walk. Up to ten guests can comfortably stay in our spacious, cosy house. Private parking for up to 4 cars.

Our loft is 4 miles from Monaghan town, population 10,000approx. It is located roughly an hour and a half from Dublin and Belfast. Local amenities include 18 hole golf course and driving range, Rossmore Forest park (1.5miles), cinema, leisure centre, a number of pubs and restaurants (4 miles), Glaslough Castle and Equestrian centre (7 miles). There are numerous local lakes for fishing and the Bragan region offers various walking trails.
