Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway overlooking the beautiful Black Sands Beach. The bottom level of the house is on the cliffs edge so you will have a Birds Eye view of all the whale activity and people watching on the beach. The large deck has glass railing which makes it completely unobstructed. There are no neighbors directly on either side so it is very quiet and private. Newly renovated small-scale kitchen & living room. Just a short walk to the restaurants. Perfect for R&R.

This large 14X20 room plus bathroom is for non-smoking guests. Windows with wooded views and a private entrance. Also a queen size Tempur-pedic mattress, WiFi, microwave oven (behind a cabinet door), electric tea kettle, toaster oven, Keurig, refrigerator, hot plate, bar sink, large TV (with over 250 channels), DVD player, and off street parking. Nothing high-end here (except the mattress) but very comfy, clean, and private. Also the bathroom has it's own on-demand water heater (not shared).

It is located right off highway 101 and just minutes to the Avenue of the Giants for exploring and hiking. Enjoy shopping and dining in the nearby Victorian village of Ferndale. It's the perfect central location for exploring all Humboldt has to offer!

The Head Water House is very easy to find just 5 miles off HWY 101, just shy of Old Town Eureka (10 minutes). This place is truly unique with it's "one of kind" natural Redwood amphitheater and open meadow views. The Elk River Valley is relatively quiet, dark starry nights, and has 50% more sunny days than Eureka proper. Equipped with Starlink, rural connectivity has never been better. You'll see and hear many species of birds, deer, fox, and maybe even a Barred Owl at dusk.

The cottage is cozy and comfortable, with handcrafted touches throughout. It is in a beautiful, rural setting with an easy 10-15 minute drive to both downtown Eureka and downtown Arcata. The cottage is on a 4-acre property nestled up against a small redwood grove, allowing for plenty of privacy for guests who are looking for a secluded getaway. NO FIRES ALLOWED - anyone who breaks this rule will be fined $300.

It's a great base camp for exploring the beautiful beaches, Redwood forest and local cities of Trinidad and Arcata. Maximum 3 guests, or 4 guests if one or more guests are under 12.

Red Barn Cottage, Cozy and Charming

The Red Barn Cottage is located within walking distance of the Victorian village of Ferndale. The Cottage is a charming, separate studio with a private entrance, gated patio, full kitchen and bathroom. We provide wonderful amenities including coffee, teas, continental breakfast items and snacks for our guests. A small to medium size dog is allowed but with our approval and an additional nonrefundable pet fee.
