Our repurposed Redhen railcar sits amidst the vines with elevated views over Blewitt Springs; a beautiful corner of the McLaren Vale wine region. Each space (driver's cabin & three-five-four) offers well appointed kitchens, queen beds, spectacular views from your own deck or choose to stay cozy inside. Close to numerous cellar doors, breweries and restaurants. A stunning space to relax and enjoy the incredible view after a days winetasting or adventures on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula.

Lovely Converted Train Carriage/ Garden Studio

Lovely rustic train carriage, built in 1914 and since converted into cosy and comfortable accomodation. The carriage accommodates one or two guests, with a queen size bed. Self sufficient, the carriage has a bathroom, microwave and small fridge. A private space, the carriage is nestled at the back of the property amongst the trees and garden. You will have direct access, with parking in the carport at the end of the driveway. Ballan train station is a 7 minute walk from the property.

Mount Emu Creek Retreat is a self contained and eco friendly converted train carriage on a permaculture homestead on Mount Emu Creek (Tarnpirr) just out of Panmure. Take in the beautiful views of bush and farmland from the covered deck and enjoy the abundant birdlife. You might even spot platypus, koala or swamp wallaby by the creek. The Queen Mary inspires a glamour of yesteryear, with a captivating allure that is hard to describe. 15 minutes walk from Pokolbin Village, The Queen Mary features original bedrooms and hallways as well as a beautiful club lounge style dining area with kitchenette which opens onto a private veranda with outdoor lounges. This train is located on our property - The Station Hunter Valley.

Relax on the deck and watch the trains go by, or wander down the road for a cocktail or woodfired pizza. Avenel is a great launching pad for all that the Strathbogie region has to offer - art, history, wine and some fabulous restaurants.

100 year old Railway Carriage

Comfortable but compact, set in beautiful bushland, owner's house closeby. 10 minutes from shops, restaurants and railway station. 50 minutes from Sydney Airport. Extra note: some guests have mentioned swimming in the George's River but this is not always advisable due to water quality . Also while there is an electric BBQ it is not always possible to light the open fire because of legal restrictions.

Nambucca Valley Train Carriages Red carriage

Both our red & green carriages are modeled from the balcony ended tram car Built by Great Eastern Railways, England in 1884. The tram car was built for the Wisebec to Upwell line. Diane & I have built this unique accommodation from the ground up overlooking the NSW North Coast Railway line. The two carriages are located 90 metres from our house & sited to provide you with your own privacy.
