Old Duninald - Heritage House

Enjoy the sounds of nature as you wake up or go for a walk in the extensive grounds. Reputedly the oldest house in the Hunter Valley established in 1822 and refreshed for a luxury experience. Perfect accommodation for Tocal weddings and other events in the area or just getting away from it all. There is a complimentary food pack: breakfast, afternoon tea, predinner wine & cheese. Old Duninald is a tranquil place to just relax on the verandah, take a walk in the 25 acres of woodland.

We are located only 10 minutes from historical Dungog and 35 minutes from the southern end of the beautiful Barrington Tops National Park.

Claret Ash Cottage is a beautiful 1890's mining cottage nestled in the hamlet of Elderslie, Hunter Valley. The cottage accommodates up to 6 guests and suits those wanting to wind down by the fire pit in winter or on the back deck watching the sunset in summer - whilst enjoying the bounty of the Wine Country region. A picturesque 25 minute drive will have you in the heart of the wineries during the day - then back to Claret Ash Cottage by night to wine, dine and admire the view.

The Hay Shed has spectacular panoramic views. Indoors, guests can enjoy a cosy wood fire heater in winter, AC in Summer and a free standing bath tub overlooking the paddocks. Outdoors, there’s a hot water shower, deck chairs and fire pit. The Hay Shed has a smart tv & Wi-Fi.
