Herdy Lodge is a contemporary take on a country cottage (Insta =HerdyLodge) It is within our family smallholding on the Northern slopes of the Eden Valley where we farm our happy flock of herdwick sheep. It has a modern, crisp interior and good ecological credentials inc a wood pellet boiler and "passive" building design. It has a private drive and garden with a terrace looking directly onto the lakeland fells. Plenty to do nearby: Takin Tarn, Hadrian's Wall, Lakes and Dales, Rhegged Centre.

The Shipping Container, Springwell

An ‘Amazing Spaces’ inspired shipping container conversion, set in a peaceful secluded wildlife friendly garden, at the foot of the Pennine hills. The container is a 5 minute walk from the picturesque Talkin village which has a friendly pub serving food. A woodburning stove (logs supplied) ensures the container stays cosy in all weathers. It makes an excellent base to explore Hadrian's Wall, the North Lakes and the Eden Valley.. or a perfect stop off point on your way to or from Scotland.

Rose Cottage, Eden Valley, Cumbria

Rose Cottage is a lovingly renovated 17th century cottage tucked away in a traditional Cumbrian village. We have kept the character of the original building and added fresh and appealing homely touches. The lovely kitchen, lounge and upstairs bedroom with king size bed and adjoining bathroom is clean, contemporary yet cosy with all modern day comforts. Handy for M6 motorway and northern lakes with a pub "The Pheasant Inn" serving great food Thursday-Sunday next door" Booking is advisable.

The Hide Lodge is a stylish space, designed with relaxing and retreating in mind. It is cosy and warm with underfloor heating. The open plan lounge and living area has full width bi-fold doors, which allows the space to be fully opened up to feel like part of the woodland beyond. The main bedroom boasts sliding french doors, also overlooking the woodland and stream, with a bath placed to enjoy this view. There is a private terrace and patio area to enjoy al-fresco dining or star-gazing.

The cottage required total renovation and took almost a year to get everything perfect. We are dog friendly! We are also child friendly! Ghyllie Cottage is a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage that is over 200 years old! Wetheral is just 3 miles from junction 42 on the M6 and the village has great amenities including a Village Shop and post office, Cafe, and a great pub just across the road! Wetheral Railway Station is a short walk from the cottage with regular trains to Carlisle and Newcastle. Easy access to Gretna Green, the Lake District, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
