Whare manu, boutique cottage.

Whare manu is a private, self contained boutique cottage that is solar powered. Set back into native bush with views of the sea and beach, which is only a minutes stroll away. Watch the Tui's and Bellbirds feed on the sculpted bird feeder right on the deck. Designed for couples to relax, unwind and enjoy. No children please. If you would like your stay to include the 24 Dec please contact us, we can open for you, there are no checkouts on 25 Dec & a min 2 night stay. This is a unique place.

Beach Feet Retreat, Kaka Point, Catlins Coast

Stunning sea side location of this beautiful new spacious beach house will provide a peaceful and quiet place to relax and enjoy the pristine Catlins Coast. Kaka points safe, lifeguard patrolled beach (summer) is across the road. House is located only 200m from the Point Cafe/store/bar and local play ground. Explore Nugget Pt and enjoy spotting the spectacular sea lions basking on the rocks. Hide away to watch the yellow eyed penguins arrive at Roaring bay. Local bush walks within 1 km.

Drive times to local attractions: Jacks Bay Blowhole - 10mins Surat beach - 5mins Owaka -3mins Pounawea - 5mins Nuggets Point Lighthouse - 30mins Purakanui falls - 15mins Papatowai Lost Gypsy - 30mins My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups.

This peaceful, hill top, studio room is just a 10 minute amble to the town’s parks, gardens, cafes, shops and restaurants. Wifi, TV, microwave and small refrigerator, kettle and toaster with basic kitchen cutlery and crockery, teas and coffees supplied. Brand new bathroom. Private entry and driveway with undercover parking. The decor is eclectic and there are two outdoor seating options. The garden is shared. Guest access by key lock. Check in from 3pm and check out by noon.

Sea View Apartment 1 (Seascape)

Our Self-Contained Apartment is fitted with modern furnishings, free WiFi and views across the ocean to the Nugget Point Lighthouse from the sliding doors. There is a private deck with a table and seating. The living area has a sofa, dining table and chairs and a flat-screen Smart TV. It has a kitchenette with a stovetop, microwave, electric fry pan, fridge, jug, toaster and all the essentials. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. It has a private entrance and off-street parking.

Black's Hut - Lakefront Cottage

Black's Hut sits on the shores of Lake Te Anau with expansive uninterrupted views of Fiordland. Built in 2022 with quality fixtures and furnishings, entertainment system and hot tub. Excellent unlimited wifi. Black's Hut has been specifically set up to accommodate adults with two separate bedrooms and bathrooms. Extremely private with extensive plantings. Bike track and reserve between the cottage and lake. Just a 15 minute walk along the lakefront to shops and cafes.

Hillside Retreat & Woodstoked Hot Tub

This unique place has a style all its own. Come and enjoy some peace and quiet admiring the outstanding views of Mount Benger in your own wood stoked stainless steel hot tub. The hot tub will be filled with fresh water and heated on request. There are several outstanding cafes locally along with the beautiful Clutha Gold Cycle trail. The Millers Flat Tavern is open for meals Pinders Pond is a local swimming attraction. Highland Bike hire in Roxburgh has ebikes for hire.

The Retreat was established by the Clark family who live on, and farm the surrounding land. The Clark's have been farming the 685 hectare coastal property in the Catlins for the last 25 years. Come and experience country living in this lovely 2 bedroom cottage on the edge of the Gore Township. Pets okay but MUST be keep outside. NO pets inside. Got no problem with people using electric cars but being sneaky and plugging in after dark will earn you a bad review and comments. Just be honest and talk with us.
