The Scout Cabin was originally part of a group cabins from the early 1900s. Over the years, different owners have made additions and updates, but it still has some of its original structure. Now it is a cozy two bedroom house with an open living and dining area, a bonus area with an additional sleeper loveseat, and a spacious patio. It is centrally located - just one block from the center of Carterville’s downtown - and easily accessible to many Southern Illinois activities and attractions.

The occasional sound or sight of farm equipment in operation is part of the charm! We take great care to ensure a peaceful experience for our guests.

Four friends have joined forces to create this cozy space for you to feel right at home in. We've made the space fun, with each bedroom having a unique theme. Our coffee bar also offers a variety of mugs, so each person can pick their favorite. We had your comfort in mind when we selected new queen mattresses, soft bedding, and plush towels. The couch and extra seating are very comfy. For our likeminded germaphobe friends, we chose light bedding to ensure utmost cleanliness.

Our local area has many hiking opportunities to explore, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail surrounds us, and the back roads have country views that are breathtaking. Our cabin will be waiting for your arrival or return, well equipped with a 55" TV above the gas fireplace, a comfortable King size bed, and an amazing back porch with a Weber Grill and huge hot tub.

If you'd rather be at the coast, you'll love this 2 bedroom villa with 2 full, updated bathrooms. There's also a 1 car garage and laundry room for guest use. Wrap around sectional in the living room and a power recliner. Dining table for 4 inside and patio table out!
