Navigation Cottage Luxury on the Historic Sea Lock

Navigation Cottage is set right on the Historic Sea Lock at Heybridge Basin. It is a great place to visit with the picturesque canal walk where beautiful Thames Barges can often be seen, the Sea Wall walk past the lake Nature Reserve into Maldon or to the Marina. There are good pubs and the famous Tiptree Tee Rooms at the Sea Lock. The owners have built a lovely decking to enjoy the peaceful views across the garden and over the Lake. Perhaps book a trip on one of the Historic Thames Barges.

The lake is well fenced, secure & very private. Visitors are welcome to fish in the very well-stocked specimen Carp lake, with multiple fish approaching 40lb.

Sofa and full kitchen inside. We are surrounded by lovely countryside. But also only a 10 minute walk into Long Melford. Which has lots of pubs and restaurants. The lodges are our own design. You will not find anything like them in the country. Totally unique. You can fish the lake. 2 wells behaved dogs max.

It is situated in between the village centre, where you will find all the necessary amenities, and Mill Dam Lake, where you will find water sport activities, scenic walks and bike rides. The cottage has been completely renovated to retain all the original quirky features of wonky ceilings, old exposed beams and original gate doors. The rooms are cosy and inviting.
