Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

MoonTreeYurt&Sauna

Moon Tree Yurt, a traditional Mongolian yurt with timber framed outdoor living space. Set on a private rural property in the magical Cowichan Valley. Just moments from Skutz Falls and Cowichan Provincial Park. Surrounded by nature with basic amenities, the yurt offers a sustainable, one of a kind "Glamping" experience. Adventure awaits you with Cowichan Valley Trail for epic hiking, biking, and much more! Due to safety considerations, our property is not suitable for infants or young children.

Rosie's Studio

Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

The Rad Shack

Aloha, Brahs, Wahines and those in between-y's! Welcome to The Rad Shack, your gnarly hideaway in the heart of Mother Nature's most epic playground. The Owls Perch Treehouse ~Luxury Treetop Retreat~

Mid-island, this rustic cabin is perfect for any couple (or small group) shacking up in the woods. Features a full kitchen inside, outhouse, outdoor shower, fire pit, covered porch & access to pebble beach trails, making this a magical retreat. Please note that while there is wi-fi at the cabin, there is no cell reception on the property, and many guests have mentioned that they’ve enjoyed the chance to unplug and connect with nature.

Nestled among towering trees in Jordan River, BC, Woodshed is a serene wellness retreat designed for rest and renewal. Fern Gully is a tranquil nature retreat for many to enjoy. The cabins overlook a beautiful lush creek. It is a very private property with no wifi (cell service is in our area). We encourage guests to unplug and enjoy the quiet of BC's beautiful west coast. Minutes from the four private cabins lie many beaches and hikes. Private outdoor shower, washroom & firepit. This is a basic & rustic lodging experience!

Welcome to our old country style house! It sites on a 5-acre active farm, 5 minutes' drive to the seaside and within walking distance of the famous Raptors, with all amenities close by. We grow walnut trees, fruits, veggies, and raise ducks, chickens, and goats.
